Firm and comfortable sofa
I am very happy with purchase of this sofa. It is very comfortable and firm . It fits well into relatively small spaces, and easy to put together too. It makes a wonderful addition to our living room . Color is chocolate brown , darker than it shows in picture here and sofa is altogether better than what picture says.ALso the back support id much thicker than what you can imagine from the picture shown here. So if you are looking for little firm and comfortable sofa ,just go for this.

I think people with height more than 6 feet ,might find it bit uncomfortable other than that its perfect. Also if you are looking for some soft sofa to sink in, this may disappoint you .
It has firm support ,and that's exactly what we were looking for. Overall we are happy with this purchase and now we have matching love seat too :). We ordered it from Target.com, when the shipping was free and addition 15 % sale was on these items so for the price we paid it is really worth.

Not what I expected
The pictures make this seem larger than it is. It's the exact same size as the ones in the department stores. It holds up a little better but not worth the money! Go spend half the price and get the other. Huge waist of money.

Cute and sturdy
I bought this couch for my 1 year old because I remember having a fold out chair when I was younger and how much I liked it because it was my size.
Shipping was much faster than expected which was AWESOME!! I absolutely love the couch and so does my baby. She likes to climb on it when it is folded up or laying out. She takes her blanket over to it and lays down. It is so cute!!
The only reason I give it 4 stars is because the light green has a few blueish-green smears...maybe from a marker or pen...I'm not sure, but its pretty noticeable.
Some people have complained about the smell of chemicals on the couch. The one I ordered had just a hint of smell on it. It definitely was not overwhelming and I didn't have to air it out. My baby was playing on it about 20 minutes after I unpacked it (because she was napping).
The foam is very firm and seems like it would not be very comfortable, but after sitting/laying on it for a few seconds it softens...maybe because your body heat molds it...I'm not sure.
I do know that I love this couch and so does my daughter.

Our Grandson Loves It!
This purchase is a success--our grandson loves it. It seems to be well made and should last a while. He climbs on it--turns it over--opens and closes it. He watches tv with his leg on one arm while leaning on the other side of the chair; just like I would but he's only 13 months old! It's his favorite toy.
An excellent purchase.

smells like toxic chemical factory
Opened the box and the couch smells like nasty toxic chemicals. Can't unzip and wash cover - it's just ultra-chemically treated to prevent any stains. I had to put it out on the porch - hope it airs out and the smell dissipates. When the couch unfolds, the sections aren't even - seems like it would be uncomfortable to lay on. It's super-hard too.

Great Baby/Toddler Sofa, Strange Color
I am glad I bought this for my 18-month-old. I wanted it to match her purple chair by the same manufacturer, but unfortunately it only came in unattractive colors, such as pea green and a muted pinkish red. I think it is a really high quality sofa, but I still ask adults not to sit on the baby's sofa for concern that it will get worn down.

It opens to a sleeper sofa, so if your toddlers are more mellow than mine, they might actually nap on it, which would be very convenient for most people.

Great purchase, bad colors.

What is the best way to remove wax from an upholstered sofa and a freshly painted wall?

I had a party and the wax dripped from a shelf onto a red wall and a dark green cloth upholstered sofa. I have heard opposing suggestions such as using ice or a hot iron over a paper towel. I am afraid to ruin it. Please help!!!

Okay, not a very simple-to-fix problem. Ever do batiking in art class? If not, then please read CAREFULLY! First, remove as much wax as possible from the cloth and wall by hand using a plastic scraper(a plastic spoon works quite well actually). LIGHT ON THE PRESSURE WITH THE WALL!! Paint may come off otherwise. For the wall, Goof-Off applied with a wash cloth or sponge works fairly well. Try the Goof-Off on a small area of the couch. The paper towel and iron trick CAN work, you just have to pull the cushion material out of the cushion first, then run the iron on the opposite side of the cloth material with a piece of paper towel on each side of the cloth for maximum absorbency. High heat and moving around quickly will work the best and will lessen chances of burning or (gulp) melting the fabric material. If you can't remove the cushioning material, medium heat and change the paper towels a lot! If by chance some of the paint peels, breath deeply, relax and just re-paint that one small spot again. After the paint dries, burn a small (no longer than three inches in length) piece of incense about half a foot and one down from the spot you just repainted to cover the paint smell. COLLEGE RULES!!!!!

I have used the iron method on my couch and carpet and it works great! I used a brown paper bag though not a paper towel. As far as the painted wall goes, I use a "kitchen scraper" it is made for pots and pans but it works for a little bit of everything. It is a small plastic square I bought mine from pampered chef but Im sure you can find them most anywhere now.

The wax on the wall I would probably soften with a hair dryer and remove. The sofa the iron and paper towel is your best bet after you remove the heaviest wax by hand. Wash the area on the sofa with a upholstery cleaner after you get all the wax you can off with the paper towel method.

There is two ways to remove wax from carpet.

1/ Use the edge of a butter knife to carefully scrape off or lift up as much solid wax as you can .Use a dry clean white terrycloth place it over the wax spot then heat it with a iron on low setting because most homes have polyester carpet, and if the iron gets too hot, it'll melt the carpet. Keep checking the spot every ten seconds or so, moving the terrycloth so that a clean spot is on the carpet.

2/ Which is the better way. Use the edge of a butter knife to carefully scrape off or lift up as much solid wax as you can Heat up a full kettle of water and pour it slowly on the carpet at the same time with a wet vac vacuum up the water. Keep on doing this until the wax is removed.

What type of paint is used to give an old upholstered sofa (in good condition) a new life?

Upholstery is in very good shape, but color is rather blah. Just want to freshen it with a completely different color. Have seen one that was painted & it was beautiful, but the only information received was that wall paint was used. Can you use it straight from the can?; must it be diluted?

There is no way to paint the fabric of an upholstered sofa. For leather there is a paint-like product for changing the colour, but any paint applied to a fabric sofa would a) seep into the stuffing and take forever to dry; b) probably crack and show age/use terribly; c) risk colour transfer to your clothing; and d) there would be no guarantee how it would look.

If your sofa is just "rather blah" purchase a nice throw or fitted slipcover for it or even just a pile of nice throw pillows to liven it up. Good luck!

I am shopping for a new couch. I am seeing a lot done in real ultrasuede or in micro suede. Do they hold up well? Do they get dirty easily? Let me know your opinion as this is a major buy for me and I don't want to make a mistake. I have teenagers and have always bought a chenille pattern. Someone is always laying on the couch at my house. Would appreciate some practical advice.

I have Ultra suede. They are great! I have a baby always running around with mouth full of baby food. He wipes everywhere he bury his face. I am able to just wipe them all off with no problem! They are the greatest. It's actually better than leather because it doesn't get all scratched up (babies like to bang their toys every there). Have it for years and went through several family parties and couch potatoes and still looks great!

You're not likely to find a sofa upholstered in chintz because chintz is not an upholstery fabric -- it just isn't strong enough to hold up to wear. However, you could look for a sofa that comes with a chintz sofa cover, or have a sofa cover made in the fabric you like.

You should contact the company that manufactured the sofa. They will be able to tell you the best way to clean it so there is no risk of ruining it.
