So far so good
So far, these cushions are holding up pretty well. It was pretty ridiculous that the original cushions were not made for the outdoors. These are good quality and have so far made it through a few big thunderstorm w/o stains or damage. I will definitely cover them through the winter months. Make sure you do not put them in the washing machine. I made that mistake w/the original ones and they shrank A LOT even w/o drying.

Much better than the one that came with the sofa
I purchased the entire set last spring and immediately regretted it! It was dirty in like 3 days and it midewed very fast. Its like the only outdoor furniture that cant get wet. Well, after dealing with the white all summer, cleaning it and hating it....I finally got on this spring and low and behold this color (garnett) is on clearance. I got all the cushions I need (This one for the sofa was only 57 bucks last week and now its up to like 150 for some odd reason) I am telling you, this is like a totally different material! It is soooooo much nicer and richer looking. Just really warm and I cant tell you how happy I am with it. I did order some water repellant spray for outdoor use and sprayed all the cushions and will continue to do during the summer because I will not let these get ruined. I love them! Highly recommend! Also, I needed the center and the corner cushions and I emailed amazon because the center was not avail in garnett. Then one day, it said there were 2 which I needed. Amazon emailed me and said the center wasnt available...wierd because I just ordered 2 while you were researching. My suggestion, if you need a center...add all to your cart and check back daily to find the center ones.

New Seat Cushions
I purchased these new seat cushions for our lounge sofa because the original cushions that I bought are white and do not clean well. I am very pleased with the quality and fit of the new cushions. The colors of the fabric are much nicer then even the pictures show. I have not had them long enough to know if they will hold up in the weather but so far I am very pleased with the purchase. I do think they are a little pricey though.

Check back for center
The title of this item reads "center" but it doesnt list it as avail. I contacted amazon and while they were researching the item...low and behold 2 came avail while I was on one day. Eventually, I was told the cneter was not avail but like I said, I had 2 on the way. My suggestion, if you really need the center, like i did....just keep checking back. I got them last week for like 30 bucks and now they are priced really high for some reason....They are awesome!!! I love them soooo much better than the cream that came with the set!

How do you keep sofa cushions from slipping forward on a sofa?

We have an overstuffed suede-like fabric sofa. The velcro strips underneath the cushions don't hold them in place. When we sit on the sofa the cushions slip forward and at some point I have to squash them all back into place. Is there any way to keep them from slipping forward? I've noticed other sofas with this same problem - overstuffed or not.

YOu could try getting pieces of the no-slip mesh - it's that stuff you can buy so area rugs don't slip around on floors. I used that on an old couch of mine and it seems to work ok (you just have to make sure that they stay clean because when they build up dust and crumbs, they don't 'stick' as well).

Other than that, maybe you could put an old throw cover under the anterior portion of the cushions (along the length of the couch) so that the cushions tilt towards the back of the couch, rather than the front - which may hold them in place a little better.

I forgot to add, you can buy the no slip stuff at ikea or even walmart. I think you can also look in the kitchen area because they make the stuff for drawers too - so that your utensil tray doesn't move around...

How do I repair my sofa cushions?

I have sofa cushions that have four pairs of buttons on each one that are sewn through the cushion, holding it together. Several of the buttons have come off. How do I go about sewing the buttons back on?

If you still have all the buttons, get the longest pair of long-nose pliers you can find. (They are offen mistakenly called needle-nose). Hopefully, they'll be a bit longer than the thickness of the cushion. Tie about a foot-long length of tough cord to one button. Shove the pliers up through the hole where the button came off. You might have to compress the cushion a bit to do this. When the points go through, open the pliers just enough to grip the end of the cord, squeeze tightly and pull. Flip the cushion, thread a button on the cord, press down a bit on the cushion, and tie it tight. This will leave the buttons on both side squeezing down into the cushion. Just how deep they squeeze is up to you, and depending on how deep the others are. You obviously want them all to match.

Another method -if you can't find long enough pliers, or fear the pliers will stretch the hole- would be to make your own extra-long needle for this. Get about 12 inches of the heaviest Romex cable you can find, or else get a 1/8 inch aluminum rod from a hardware store. If you use Romex cable, strip off the insulation and use just one of the solid wires in it. With either, take a hammer and flatten out a few inches of one end. Drill a hole big enough for the cord, and grind or file the other end to a blunt point. Now you have a super-long needle! Be careful with the Romex one, because it's copper and will bend easily. Of course, you could do the same thing with a headless darning needle. Don't try to use the hook end to pull the cord, though. You'll end up hooking and pulling the fabric, and probably lose the cord halfway through as well!

How do I wash microfiber sofa cushions?

I have an off-white microfiber sofa, and the cushions are getting dirty. They unzip so I can machine wash them, but I don't know the settings, or if I need to use some kind of special gentle soap. Also, can I use the spray stain remover beforehand? There are some spots that I'm extra worried about. Thanks in advance!

Since they can unzip, I would check with manufacture but here is a site for microfiber clothes. I use warm water for my sofa, but it doesn't unzip. I just wash it down like a table and let air dry. Good luck

Take out the foam that's inside the cushion and take it to a foam sales place (look up foam in your phone book) Many places will cut it the exact size of your current sofa cushion. Look for something thicker or ask them for advice on one that won't deflate as much. There might be a better quality foam that you can buy that retains its loft better.

How do you make the sofa cushions that have gone soft due to usage just a little bit firmer? Is it possible?

These cushions are amde of artificial cotton stuffed into cloth. My sofa makes a good bed :) but it kind uncomfortable to sit. I want to make it justa little bit firmer to give a good hold while sitting and not sink too deep. Thanks.

If your cushions have zippers and can be either filled or emptied, have some foam rubber cut to size and slip that in instead of the cotten stuff.
