I have just bought a second hand bargain sofa and sofa bed. It's a kind of peachy colour and I thought I might have a go at dying the covers! Obviously I'm very nervous about it, I wondered if anyone else had tried and suceeded?

Yes, you can wash microfiber. Here's a product that will help you to keep it clean. And oh yeah... you may want to look on the inside of the covers. You'll likely find the manufacturer's tag and instructions for the care of the fabric.

water marks on sofa covers, how do i get rid of them?

My sofa is kinda creamy colour, and a few months ago we spilled some sauce on it..... i used vanish stuff on it suitable for sofas and i'm happy to say the stain came out perfectly! Only thing is that now i'm left with a water mark where i wet the cover to clean it. How can i get rid of that? The sofas made of kind of velvety stuff so isnt machine washable, the lable says "professional clean only" but i just need a wee bit cleaned, not the whole thing.... any ideas? Thanks!

Have the sofa covers dry cleaned to remove any stains that may be left on the covers, they will look good and smell lovely and fresh, because if you wash them in the normal way the covers might shrink a bit, and we don't want that, for if they do shrink they wont fit back on the sofa, good luck

I saw on a HGTV show once that there are apparently pins availalble that are made for that specific purpose.they are like little swirl pins so they don't come out and the cover stays in place. they are called twist pins...upholstery pins...whatever.
