last year i purchased a beautiful cream microfiber sofa-loveseat set. the problem is that now is horribly dirty, it looks awful, i tried to clean it and i damaged the fabrics a little...does anyone know a way to clean it without damaging it?
help me please, we don't have "upholstery cleaners" around so i need to do it myself!

Did you try vinegar and baking soda
not mixed together but first the baking soda with warm water, then the white vinegar. Do not get the fabric wet just moist, then dry immediately

How do I clean my new microfiber sofa?

I've got a fairly new microfiber sofa and my dog put a few good stains on the side of the cushions. In time when I can afford it, I'm planning on putting a slipcover on it, but what can I use to spot clean it with? Its beige and the stain shows up.

You need to use something that will dissolve oils (bring oil into solution) and evaporate quickly. Regular soap is good at binding to oils, but if you mix it with water, it does not evaporate quickly.

The solution is to find one of many good Microfiber Cleaning Products that are designed for dry cleaning and/or removing grease or oil. Use a product like this in small amounts, getting part of the stain out each time, while letting the fabric dry after each application.

Another thing to remember, is that Microfiber is Polyester. This means that most things that can be used to clean polyester can be used to clean microfiber. Ammonia and Alcohol. Rubbing Alcohol or clear alcohol such as vodka can be used

I have an off-white microfiber sofa, and the cushions are getting dirty. They unzip so I can machine wash them, but I don't know the settings, or if I need to use some kind of special gentle soap. Also, can I use the spray stain remover beforehand? There are some spots that I'm extra worried about. Thanks in advance!

Since they can unzip, I would check with manufacture but here is a site for microfiber clothes. I use warm water for my sofa, but it doesn't unzip. I just wash it down like a table and let air dry. Good luck

most large furniture stores,(i use slumberland) have a fabric cleaner that will work especially for that material. just call and ask them and they will tell you if they have it or what you can use. Also many tennis shoe cleaners with the little brush thing on top will help remove stains, but not necessarily the smell. try the all purpose gel cleaner from finish line- i use it on many things and it always works. you can probably find the same stuff at walmart
