Great Item
Perfect Shelving unit to hide wires and clutter behind all the components, just wish the instructions were more clear for measuring purposes.

Nice and Sleak. Looks great!
If you don't know how to mount to your wall, don't try it! A professional mounted the plate for me and the rest was quite easy.

suits my needs
I got this to mount my equipment to the side of my wall mounted plasma tv in order to have it high enough off the ground to keep my twin 3 year old boys from messing with it (they damaged my previous tv). I just use a couple cable runners between the tv/audio equipment and the components.
The plastic covers for hiding the cables on the spine of the shelves don't go on very easily and nothing really holds the cables in place while trying to snap the cover on. As a result I am only using a cover for the bottom section which is fine for my needs.

Very Nice Wall Rack with poor cable management
I purchased the OmniMount TRIAP Adjustable 3 Shelf Wall System w/ Cable Management through Amazon.com. It was at an ok price. The system looks very nice except for 1 thing, the cables. You will notice in all the pictures of this system there are no cables shown, however, there is no way to put this system without cables being seen. It only took a about 30 minutes to put on the wall following some very simple instructions. Due to the weight being supported by the shelf system, it must be mounted to a stud, which might be limiting for some as to where it can be mounted vs. where you want it mounted. Many pictures show a medium to large flat screen mounted on a wall with the shelf rack centered under the tv. This is not really possible. If you think about it, the tv wall mount needs to be mounted across at least 2 studs, most likely not near the center of the tv but about 8-20 inches off center of the tv. One of the same studs needs to be used to mount this rack system. So in most cases I think this system will be mounted off center. i kind of liked it like that, so not a big deal for me. The metal, screws and glass are all high quality and have very nice finish, then you get to the plastic cable hiding system. What a joke! I could not get all the cables behind this 3 piece plastic cable hiding system and I worked on it for hours. I tried several ways. We are only talking 3 components(tivo, vcr, dvd), an external drive to the tivo and the TV. There simply is not enough room in this plastic cover to put these cables. With working at for some time I was able to squeeze the cables into the back of the plastic cable hiding pieces but there is no way to get it to snap onto the vertical mounting bar with the cables. Needles to say I am disappointed in the system because of the problem.
