What are those mattress wedge thingy's that are bought to connect two twin sized bed and converts to a king size? You know where it smoothes the gap in the middle for sheets and comforters to fit? I used to see these in catalogs but don't know where to find one now. If you could find a link or something it would be great! Thanks!

how do i keep my four month old from digging his face into the mattress?

My son has rolled over a couple of time but I am not sure if he was meaning to. He sleeps with a baby wedge but still turns his head far enough to dig his face into the mattress while sleeping. He also does it on his side and when I am rocking him. It seems like every time he gets tired or is sleeping he wants his face covered. I am very afraid of him suffocating. Please help.

I am from Canada and have a queen size mattress, now living in the UK and need to find a bed frame that will fit my mattress. Ideas?

Canada size mattress: 60" x 80" or 152cm x 203cm
UK King size bed frame: 60" x 78" or 152cm x 198cm

So my mattress is about 5cm longer than the bed frames here. Buy a frame and wedge it in? Look for an open frame it can sit on?

Most bed frames are made so there is a little extra room at the head and foot of the bed so you can put in sheets and blankets between the mattress and bed frame

So I'd say it will fit with not problem

And you will still have room to put in the top sheets and all the blankets you want And if it is a tight fit you will love it cause your feet will never get uncovered on them near hard winds from that big Lake up north come a calling this winter

Can someone recommend a good infant reflux wedge?

My 9 week old has reflux, and we can't seem to get her comfortable at night lately, so she is not sleeping well. We have tried the carseat, the crib with the mattress elevated, etc. We are too scared to try her tummy. Any products that have worked for your baby? Thanks so much!

My son is 3 months and has it. We did the same - we propped his mattress up with a towel under it. This helped him at night.

He is also on Zantac - my doctor orderded it for him. Helps with the acid in the stomach so it doesn't burn as it flops around in there.

AND I know I will take some heat for this but my son has been on his belly (per docs orders) since he has been 6 weeks old. He sleeps all night now since he is comfortable. If you are concerned about this - there are baby monitors out there (AngelCare Monitor) that sends off an alarm if baby stops breathing or moving within so many seconds (don't know the time). But at her age - she has good head control and that is good for babies that sleep on their belly's.

I am very paranoid about SIDS. But both my twins have acid reflux and are very uncomfortable on their back. I have put pillows under their mattresses, and used the wedges and positioners. As soon as I lay them on their belly they are content and sleep soundlessly. Any other way they are restless. I'm not asking anyone to ok it, but how dangerous is it to let them sleep like this?
They are 8 weeks old, but were 5 weeks premature. Both weigh 10 pounds right now. (Just in case that is relevant.)

My baby girl would only sleep on her belly from about 7 weeks on... she was 6 weeks early. If we would lay her on her back she would just start screaming. To this day she sleeps on her belly. At first, I was VERY paroniod and would scheck on her constantly, now we just let her sleep all they way through... she is now 5months. I think you just have to do what you feel comfortable with doing as a parent. Every child is different and a mom always knows best.
