Costco and Walmart sell the toppers that are made out of contour foam that molds to your body. They are about $100 and SO WORTH IT. You will never sleep better!

I see one on Kohl's website that's $200 for a 4" queen size memory foam topper. To buy the entire mattress made out of foam would cost hundreds more so I just want to know if anyone has had success with the topper.

If your mattress has lost its support and you are trying to fix it with a topper, won't work. It will however take a mattress that was purchased a little too on the firm side and soften it up.

Toppers are best if they are two inches or thicker. Density and ILD or IFD is important, cost is less important. Tempur Pedic Toppers are the measuring stick by which everything is compared. They are not cheap but they are the best. You may even want to look at the idea of a latex topper.

I prefer a mattress to a topper.

I have a bad back with surgeries and I have a pillow mattress. It was killing me and didn't have the money to buy a new mattress. So we tried the Memory Foam topper and It's great. I can sleep a whole night without waking up to reposition. When we change the sheets we flip and rotate the Mem foam to help keep it worn evenly. We have had ours for almost a year now and it's just as comfortable now as when we first got it. Pleasant sleeping.
