The tubby-duty PVC construction is designed to endure all sorts of misemploy, but if anything should happen, a repair kit is included. The green-flocked rayon top can be a crumb prone to dust, but it does add warmth and softness for colder nights. The air bed can relevant up to 600 pounds. Its 56 coils and 6-inch side gussets accommodate support and, unless you sit down from a height, keep you from bumping the train. Pump sold separately. Customer Reviews

Lasted 5 nights.
I used this mattress for family camping and took great care to make sure that there is no sharp objects underneath nor on top of the mattress every time. Was able to (manually) pump the mattress up to good firmness.

Just last week, the mattress started to leak air from the top of the mattress. The seams on the ring-like pattern ripped and lost all air. Good thing we had Therm-a-Rest as back-up.

Poor construction and poor durability.

Thumbs down.

Easy setup and roll up
Boought this item for a family camp out. It was pretty easy to fill with air. Held air all week long without any problems. When tear down started it was easy to roll up and put in the roll storage that is attached to it.
2 for 2 wont hold air.
I don't know if its a bad batch or what but within 3 hours of inflation it needs to be topped off again. This is with no weight on it at all. I returned that one for another and the same issue.
Coleman Quickbed fails
The first night the mattress lost some air, the second night I was on the floor in 4 hours. I checked all around with soapy water, the valve seemed OK and could not find a leak. However, it lost air just sitting around so I tossed it out. What a waste! I have an older one(green) which is still great, but too narrow. This one has thinner PVC and is made in China. I am going to TRY to find a brand not made in China. RIGHT!
Poor quality...stay away from buying this.
We bought two coleman air beds. One Queen size and the other twin size. Both are of poor quality. Queen one - two gone now. after first one's air leakage, we tried to return it but there was no return policy on that. Only replacement was entertained, so we got stuck with it and got a replacement. The second one has air leak now. Customer service is also very poor, nearly 45 mins of wait time and no response. I did not expect this from a company like Coleman. I don't know what to do other than putting it in trash. Twin one - first one was replaced due to the same reason as above. Have to wait and see when that will reach the same state.

Temporary bedding for less than twenty dollars
We bought this for our 4-year old to sleep on as we stayed at her grandparent's house for the week. For $20 and free shipping, it is head above the couch. It does come with a battery-operated pump (Batteries not included). And needed a fill up only once through the week.

My four-year old didn't complain. Maybe she thought of it as adventure sleeping.

No, we don't feel guilty giving her the air mattress. After we relocated to our current home, me and the wife could only afford to sleep on air mattress for nearly two years! (We did bring our daughter's bed with us).

This product is "good". Considering the price, its a 5-star "great". We'll use it again when we visit.
Wonderful value! Stood up to 3 kids on vacation.
I needed a blow up matress for my 6 year old to sleep on for a week while on vacation. I was hesitant simply because of the low price, but was completely 'wowed' with the product.

First, it comes with a pump to inflate the matress (make sure you have batteries to operate the pump), and blows up quickly. Ours did not leak air during a week of use. It was on the floor between two beds being used by a 2 and 3 year old...hence, was trampled on numerous times by both kids and parents. My son, 6 years old, slept on it for the entire week, without complaint.

At the end of the week it was the same as the day we inflated it. We used the pump to deflate the matress (again, super super simple and fast). We will continue to use this for sleepovers and trips when we need an extra 'bed'.
Cheap and reliable!
If you're looking for an air mattress, you're probably not looking for the greatest sleep of your life, but for a cheap, practical and quick way to sleep.
This mattress is just that.
It comes with an air mattress pump which is great: it takes about a minute to inflate completely! I read in other reviews that batteries were included, but not in my mattress. I guess it was a packing error.
I slept on the mattress for a full week and I only had to put air in on the 5th day because it had deflated a little bit, but nothing bad, ie; I never woke up with my body touching the ground, there was still plenty of support.

Deflating was a little complicated but we managed to go through with it. It folds up nicely and fit in my suitcase for the trip home!

Pros:
-Very cheap
-Reliable
-Confortable
-Electric Pump included

I can't see any cons!

I highly recommend, it is the perfect additional bed!
real good
I got this bed after my raised twin air-bed got messed. At first I didn't expect much since previously I used a big bed and now am using a smaller one, but it is as good as the previous one. It is excellent for outdoor use, though the battery operated pump takes some time to fully inflate it(I use an electric pump, which I ordered for a small price), it is an excellent product for the money and worth it.

P.S: For those who are using air-beds for the first time I advice you not to fully inflate it, put the right amount of air into it, for a comfortable sleep. Atleast that was th mistake I did in the beginning.
airbed
1st one leaked flat 1st nite.returned by ups while replacement was enroute.it has held up fine with daily use for past month.seems well made.i would recommend.this is re intex twin airbed.

Amazing little bed
This is the second aerobed I have owned. The first one finally sprung a leak after several years of use but was very useful during that time. Decided to order another for my visit to San Francisco to visit my son. I was a little nervous as to how it would perform as I have a very bad back. Yesterday we walked all day and then I stood for almost 4 hours at a concert. By the time the evening was done, I felt a train had hit me, every bone and joint ached. I assumed that in the morning I would still feel like that but much to my pleasant surprise, I felt GREAT. Bed is very supportive when inflated completely. No problems that I had found so far. Much more lightweight that the previous one, easy to use, inflate and store. Matter of fact....I am going to leave this one with my son and purchase another for my home. Great bed for the price! Would highly recommend it to anyone.
Great Bed for short stays
This bed served its purpose to provide another sleeping surface for unexpected overnight guests
very happy
love this - it's perfect for putting on the floor in our guest room, which has 2 twin beds. i really like the size - bigger than a single, but not TOO big. inflated perfectly right out of the box, deflated easily - which is important when the guest using it is staying for a few days because it encourages them to put it away. i also like the suede texture. delivery was timely also.
Great value
I bought this as a guest bed and have already utilized it a few times. It blows up really quickly (about 20-30 seconds for twin size) and has a very well-designed pump. Unlike some air mattresses, you don't have to hold the pump in the whole time it is blowing up the bed, nor do you have to hurry to close the air plug when you pull the pump away. The pump just snaps in, automatically blows up, you unsnap it and no air is lost!

Pretty easy to roll up and comes with a nice carry bag that fits the pump and the bed.
Will Not Purchase Aerobed Again
I purchased an Aerobed 18 months ago for the uncommon visitor that we have to our house. Last weekend while using the bed for the 3rd time ever at 3 o'clock in the morning all of the air pockets internally began coming apart. It was sounding like gun shots going off which startled everyone.
I called Aerobed the next Monday thinking that Aerobed having the reputation that they have would honor their product and back it up gave me the generic answer of it's outside of the warranty and you need to have the original receipt from Bed Bath and Beyond to even contest getting a replacement product. I explained the situation of only using the product twice and taking very good care of it like I do all products that I purchase and they would not offer any solution. Needless to say, I am very disappointed in Aero Bed from a customer service standpoint. My advice would be to save some money and go to target and buy a product that will last equally as long then replace it when it has issues.
Thanks,
Very disappointed consumer

Like Sleeping on a Cloud
We purchased this mattress before a trip so that we would have a place to sleep at a relative's home, and it was worth every penny. The mattress was so comfortable that we thought about using it every day at our home instead of our regular bed. It is nice to be able to get a good night's sleep while away from home. We did not have a queen-sized sheet for it, but used a king size. That worked out fine and the sheet did not slip because of the flocked top. We inflated and deflated 3 times as was suggested before using it and it was fine. It was easy to travel with because of its carrying bag and was not too heavy. Getting it back into its carrying bag was not easy, but possible. It remained inflated for the entire trip, although it probably could use a little air each day to keep it super-firm. It is now being stored in our closet, taking up very little space, until our next trip or for some guests of our own. We are very happy with the purchase which I believe to be a quality item.
Company likes it
I use this for company that comes to visit and they are impressed with its comfort. It packs away very well and is easy to inflate or deflate. So far have used it for about 7 days with 2 people on at a time.
Happy with the raised air bed (so far, so good)
I bought this raised airbed after *many* hours of reading reviews and searching. So far it's been great! We needed to replaced the two crappy regular air mattresses we had which kept deflating, and one that used 10 "C" batteries but took 2 hours to fill. (never-aigain!) Make sure you fill it with air few times before someone sleeps on it, as they suggest. (I think that's why it didn't lose much air) My father-in-law (who's 6'2") slept on it for two nights, and liked it. And he's slept on expensive ($5000.00+) beds, so if he likes it, it's a good bed. We haven't used it much, but for now it's earned 5 stars. I would definately purchase another if we needed one for more guests (but then we'd need a bigger house). Hopefully it will last a few years.
Excellent mattress!
We bought this mattress for family that was coming to visit. The box had two different stickers on the outside instructing us to inflate fully and deflate the mattress at least three times BEFORE using. We did this about 4 or 5 times before trying it out for the first time. Our guest used this mattress for over a week with no need to refill or top off the mattress. I found a few other reviews saying they had to keep adding air, but don't know if they did the initial inflate/deflate step. This mattress inflates in minutes, deflates just as fast, is nice and tall and relatively easy to get off and on. I would highly recommend this mattress for anyone needing a spare mattress, whether for out-of-town guests, a retreat from a snoring spouse or to watch movies in the living room! :) It folds up nice and small with its own bag so it's super easy to store when not in use, too...Great product, great price!
Very Good Purchase
Purchased the inflatable bed because an inflatable mattress is difficult to get out of in the morning (I am 67). Bought it so I would have a place to sleep when I visited my son, i.e. didn't want to put him out of his bed. I slept in in for five nights & was very comfortable. Added air each night to ensure no problem in the night. I was still afloat every morning. It was a little warm on my back & I was a little apprenhensive when I rolled over when I slept. But, I never had a problem. Glad I bought it.

Perfunctory Pump, 120 Volt Electric

Customer Reviews

Ideal for most of your household pumping needs.
I got this pump for the purpose of inflating a double-hight queen size air mattress. For the mattress of that size you really need an electric pump, because your lungs or even a decent mechanical pump will take way too long. This electric pump does a great job of inflating a mattress of that size very quickly and thoroughly. In my estimation it does not take longer than a couple of minutes max for the job to get done. The pump is also great for several other around-the-house inflatable objects, such as beach balls and small size inflatable pools. It will probably work well with a larger size pool as well, but I have not tried it out with those so I don't feel completely qualified to comment. On the other hand this pump is not suited well for pumping your bicycle or car tires - it lack both the requisite adapter as well as the the adequate pressure. For those jobs an air-compressor pump is much better suited. Furthermore, sine it relies on electric outlet for power this pump is not suitable for outdoor and camping use. This pump is also very competitively priced, but the price does not indicate low quality. On the contrary, the pump is very well made and will probably last a lifetime.
The best Air Pump ever!
If you buy an inflitable bed, you need an electric pump. It can inflate the air-bed in just 3 minutes, and deflate it in 2-minutes. It would take you hours to blow it up manually.
Coleman 120V Electric Quick Pump
Fills up fast, good that doesnt need batteries, bad that its not rechargeable, good works by just plugging in, bad makes a high noise.
the pump is great
I bought a Coleman 4 in 1 mattress, and wondered whether I needed the pump - after all, it cost almost as much as the mattresses (but was not expensive - right at $20.) Asked my daughter, and she said "yes! you'll melt part of the mattress if you try using a blowdryer, and it's just worth it". She was right - it didn't cost much, but I was concerned about storage space.

It is not very large, so storing it is not a big issue. It quickly inflated my mattresses (I think it was under 2 minutes - but didn't actually use a timer), and is great for deflating, also.

So if you're wondering if you really need it, I'd say yes.
So loud it wakes up the neighborhood
You will NOT be able to tolerate the horrible high-pitched screech this thing makes. And it feels cheap. The screw-on attachment somehow came off and blew inside the mattress. I hope to never use this thing again. Alas.

Sleepless nights holed up in Brazilian Embassy

TEGUCIGALPA, Honduras — Nearing a month has passed since I slept in the murky.

All night want, floodlights coruscate on the Brazilian Embassy where I have been holed up with ousted Honduran President Manuel Zelaya since he slipped back into the nation.

When I do manage to take a nap, I'm awakened by considerable-pitched cat calls from the soldiers ringing the worsen, and music so extravagant the windows throb.

Day or night, through every window, police officers officers and soldiers gawp in at me and the other journalists through binoculars.

When I'm not worrisome to do my job taking pictures of Zelaya and his entourage, I old-fashioned the time reading; I now recognize more about Brazil than I ever hoped to — the embassy has an portentous collection of books about the South American hinterlands.

Honduras' coup-installed command says soldiers will capture Zelaya if he leaves the discreet mission. Zelaya says he is not usual anywhere until he is reinstated as president, and the Brazilian command, which also wants him returned to power, has not pressured him or his supporters to hop it.

So we in the media who pushed our way in when Zelaya took up dwelling here on Sept. 21 are stuck. Once we become, we can't get back in.

Still, time has entranced its toll as the calamity drags on, and Zelaya's series of fist-waving supporters dwindles with each partiality week. Even Zelaya's son went make clear recently, hugging his nourisher, who stayed behind.

Talks stalled again after interim President Roberto Micheletti refused to budge on allowing Zelaya to be reinstated — the inside point of a power-sharing compatibility the two sides are negotiating.

How effective is an inflatable mattress?

I have been considering looking into a different bed mattress to help with comfort.

I am considering an inflatable mattress, as I have friends who use them and enjoy the sleep they get. What are the health pros and cons (documented source preferred) to inflatable mattresses? In particular, what are the pros and cons for those that sleep on their side?

And if possible, if the inflatable mattress is a poor option, what would you recommend for a side-sleeper?
Oh, I forgot something a couple answers have brought up. I have found that anything above medium-firm is bad for me, all that weight coming down in a small area and nowhere to go, so I end up with some significant pressure points.

They can be fairly comfortable depending on what works for you. But if you're looking for something real soft, I think you'll be happier with a memory foam mattress pad. I just got a 2" one and it's wonderful -- definitely helps me sleep better. I'm about to get a softer 3" one to see if it works better for me. You can get them on Ebay for less than $50 including shipping (for a twin; bigger ones will cost a bit more).

If you like a soft bed, you'll definitely love the memory foam.

My 2" twin memory foam pad can be rolled up to the size of a large sleeping bag for traveling. Fold lengthwise, then roll it up, then roll it up in a sheet to keep it from expanding.

terrible they are only for travel if you ask me

The one we have for travel, an AeroBed, is more comfortable than our regular mattress. I sleep on my back and it's quite comfortable, even for turning on my side. The only con I can think of is that it is quite a bit firmer than a regular mattress, so you don't exactly settle in, you sort of just bounce around on top.

Is there a way to inflate an inflatable mattress without a rechargable air pump?

I'd like to buy an inflatable mattress for a friend who will be going camping for a few days. But the air pumps are a bit expensive so is there a place that I can take it to get filled or can I even do it by mouth?

You can use a bicycle pump, you might also need an adapter, which can be found in most hardware stores.

Where can I buy an inflatable mattress/ air bed in Hong Kong?

I need a few things for new flat and can't find anywhere that sells an inflatable mattress here in Hong Kong.

Furniture store

What is the best, most reliable, and somewhat affordable inflatable mattress brand ?

I want to use it when we have guests over and sometimes when I want to move a sick family member to another room. I heard that some inflatable mattresses don't hold up well. They leak. What brands do you people have? Do you like them? Would you recommend them? Approximately, how much did you pay for a twin, etc. Thanks!

WalMart the camping section. I own 2 twins, 1 full and 1 queen on a stand. All are coleman brand and they are all 15 years old. Used 5 to 6 times a year. The twin size more often since grandkids come often.
My attitude is at 30 dollars and under, if the mattress springs a leak after a two year period, I will replace it.

How does an inflatable mattress hold up to sex?

I'm getting married in 4 and 1/2 months and my mom said that she would spend $250 for our wedding present. Well, we really need a bed but mattresses are expensive! So, we are thinking of getting one of those raised or double (the tall) queen sized air mattresses until we have the money to buy a real bed.
My question though is how does an air mattress hold up to sex? Because being newly weds and all that is going to happen quite a bit and i want the bed to hold up. So if anyone has information on this or experience that would be great.

Um, well?

It depends on your body weight and your style of intimacy.

If you are 'lightweights' (like under 150 lbs. each) it would probably be ok, just don't be too hard on it.

My recommendation would be buying the matress for your new bed and using that for a while, until you can afford the nice frame and boxsprings, etc.
