Customer Reviews

Works Great!
My ONLY problem with this product is the fact that the battery included for the Push Button DID NOT work. I couldn't believe it! No power in an included battery?! What the heck?! I had to go buy a new battery. Worked great after that.

This is the first time I bought a wireless doorbell. I bought it for a 1st floor unit and it works great. I am going to buy another one for the 2nd floor unit. I tested it out in both apartments and it worked. I am actually kind of amazed. I was worried the range would be too great. Happy to be proved wrong.
Nice sound and hassle free
I am very happy with the sound. I was not concerned with how it was going to sound, although this is fairly good, but mostly with audibility as I am a bit hearing deficient. I can hear this just great. Decided to place the doorbell mount in a centrally located permanent location. Very easy to mount the bracket. And if I so choose I can easily remove the doorbell from the bracket and carry it to the john. Mounting the push-button outside took a tad more work but certainly is not rocket science. Actually pretty easy to install. Just need to decide where you want to place it. If one needs an inexpensive alternative to those fancy expensive hard wired brass door bells, then this is the one for you. I am glad I purchased this doorbell. Well, the appearance of it isnt steller but good enough.
Great Product
I have been looking for this item for a while, I am glad to be able to replace my old one that had worn out.
Good doorbell.
It is a decent doorbell for the price. I love the way it looks and like the fact you can expand on it later on. The chimes, etc are not nearly as loud as I expected from reading the other reviews. If you want to hang it on a wall the sound is muffled alot. I had to sit it in my bedroom on the desk in order to be able to hear it. Other than that, it is an awesome doorbell.
Great Product!!!! No trace of disappointment
I got this product today. It took less than 15 minutes to fix the whole thing. I like the fact of having 3 different chimes and the volume setting from a very low setting to a higher level. The instructions given were very easy to follow. I have never had a door bell like this before and this works great for apartments, houses etc. Above all it looks decent. Love it and will recommend it to anyone who is looking for a nice piece of doorbell. I guarantee that you will love it too...

Customer Reviews

False advertising
This is the second one of these I have bought and neither work as advertised. It says it works for 100 ft. You will be lucky to get it to work 6 ft away, if it works at all.
Works as advertised
This product seems to work like it said it would. The plug-in base is about 40 feet from the doorbell button, and I've had no misses when the button is pressed.

I imagine that the 12V battery supplied for the button may be some of the culprit for the negative feedback. It also could be construction differences in the house; anyone who has set up a wireless router knows that dead areas are common when a number of factors are at play (masonry walls seem to attenuate signals significantly)

One thing that I didn't read about in the description is that there are actually 3 different audible alerts: a "ding dong", a "ding", and the Westminster chimes. The selection of the audio alert is done at the button, and not the base, allowing you to have multiple buttons with a separate tone.

I wasn't expecting this level of sophistication from such an inexpensive product; it certainly fit the bill for me.
Honeywell is a sell-out
The Honeywell name used to mean something... well... no more. The range on this thing sucks, 30ft at best. I was hoping to rework this to be a mailbox alarm, but the 80ft to the mailbox was just too far. Might be fine on a smaller house when used as a normal doorbell though.
Horrible distance
The range for this device is horrible. I live in a second story apartment but my door is on the first story. At first i tried to put the bell about 50 feet away no go. so i put it 25 feet away and it than only works if the door is open. I ended up moving it 20 feet away under my computer desk and it finally receives the signal but I had to compensate another plugin for the bell. The light on the bell is a nice touch and the chime sounds nice but not loud enough to hear if you are asleep or watching tv in another room. I honestly wouldn't recommend this product to anyone unless your desired plugin is close to the door.
initial problems but replacemts work ok
I bought 2 of these having read the reviews on Amazon for this door bell & other makes & chose this unit as I know the Honeywell brand I thought Honeywell would make a good product. I live in Florida so we spend a lot of time outdoors. We needed 2 units so we could plug one inside & one outside the house by the pool. The distance from the door to outdoor pool area is less than 25 feet. The unit including the bell pusher is well built but you have to use the 2 sided tape to stick the bell pusher to your door frame or door. If you need to take it off (as I've had to do-see below) it leaves a mess & it takes some time to clean the residue of the tape/glue off. Screws are provided if you wish to make a more permanent fix but there are no pre- drilled holes in the bell pusher- presumably to stop water getting in if you use the tape instead.
The system seemed to work OK but now it only works intermittently which is more annoying than it not working at all. The other days I was waiting for a UPS delivery that had to be sent straight back - ie I needed to refuse delivery. Guess what? UPS did their typical- rang the bell & left the box on the step! Grrrrrrrrr!! The bell didn't work. Not UPS's fault but I was mighty unhappy with the door bell!
My front doors are steel plated hurricane doors but the signal does go through them- when it feels like it! I've tried the bell fixed to the door & to the frame. Sometimes it works but more often than not it doesn't or it may after several tries. People only ring once, wait a while (unless your a courier that is!) & ring again. They don't know your bell systems not working! It usually works on the 3rd or 4th try but no ones going to ring that many times!
I'm returning them to Amazon asking for replacements. I like the units (far better built than others I've seen) & I hope I've just been unlucky with a faulty batch (they're made in China). I hope they accept them back because the (usually impossible to get in to) bubble pack was thrown away before we realised the problem. If you buy this unit I recommend you keep all the packaging in case you need to do a return.
When I get the 2 replacement units I hope they work & I'll post an updated review.
I wish someone would come up with a wireless door bell that has a "sender" unit that you could attach immediately inside the door frame on the inside of the house (connected by wire to the bell on the outside). There must be a Boffin out there that could come up with this- I'd buy one!

UPDATE

Amazon very quickly replaced both units- even without getting toe old ones back first! Another reason from buying from this great customer focussed company. The new units work perfectly. I must has got 2 from a bad batch- which leaves a question mark over quality control. To date we've had no problems with the replacement units.

Customer Reviews

Works well; Wireless is convenient
The unit works well. I have had it for almost a year, and though with light usage, it works well.

I did not think the base unit was asthetically appeasing in my environment (it's black and silver, and my walls are white), but since it's wireless, I was able to place it on top of a cabinet in the kitchen, out of view, and system continues to work well, as well as sound being loud enough for me to hear the sound on the second level.
Better than expected
This item was very easy to set up out of the box. It took 20 minutes to install the chime and the doorbells. I set it up to cover two doors. It works like a charm. It is loud enough to hear upstairs and down. The ability to program different chimes for different doors is great. I am adding another bell to it. I fully reccomend this chime!
Great doorbell!
I purchased this doorbell to replace the non-working, built-in one in our older home. After installing the batteries (four C cells if I remember correctly) it worked right away with the included remote button. I purchased a button for another door, and it was fairly simple to pair it to a location light and assign it a different chime by following the directions. There are several nice-sounding chimes from which to choose, and the volume range is more than adequate to hear through the whole house. A nice surprise was finding out that it can also be mounted to a wall using the included bracket and screws. Even after mounting it, you can easily lift it off the bracket and take it with you so that you don't lose the portability aspect of it.
Momma likes!
What a great product! Thanks to all the reviews here on Amazon for leading me to this wireless door chime. Saved me so much money and time of not having to replace a broken wired door bell system. Well worth the purchased. P.S. my Mom loves the church bell chime :-)
Love It!
I've been suffering with people knocking on the door or being forced to go from the back where the garage is all the way around to the front to knock (I live in a city row home). I didn't get a wireless door bell at the local home improvement stores because the selection was poor as was the quality. Took a chance based on this door bell the reviews and I couldn't be more happy. I have one push button about 20 feet away and the other outside the garage about 55 feet away. Both work great and the selection of tones and features is great. I would definitely recommend this door bell to anyone looking for a wireless bell.

Not Reliable

When it works, the sound and light all good.
A new Battery died in a week then Transmitter died shortly.

door bell
Part of not giving 5 stars to this item, is my own fault. I thought I was ordering one that plugged into an electrical socket, not a battery operated one.
Sunnybell ST60 Review
The ST60 has a pleasantly loud chime which is what I wanted. Also has a light which I don't use. And the wireless feature is just what I needed. But I do have two minor gripes. The pushbutton assembly is hard to reasemble after installing the battery because of the flimsey two piece clear plastic interior casing presumably intended to make the pushbutton water resistant, not "waterproof". And the chime assembly must be opened up for battery installation by removing casing screws.
Seems like a decent doorbell
Bought this for a gift, its loud and strobe works nice. So far working just fine.
wireless doorbell
very good device, chime maybe loud to others, but this is good for me because sometimes I am in the bath, or back in my apartment working, cleaning etc., it chimes so that I can hear it. Great product, easy installation.

required.

Good Buy
This Honeywell unit lives up to Honeywell's reputation for sturdiness, durability and appearance. Very Good

I bought the chine and button unit and one extra button unit. One of the button units has a black body and also a black push button which makes it a little hard to see where to push.Button units are rain proof and that sold me on this setup.

Buttons that make the chimes chime!

Just recieved 3 push buttons for my wireless door chime from Honeywell and they work great and easily programed into the base unit. I am very satisfied. Thanks Amazon!!! Arrived 3/26/2010
Luxury Ringbell
It is nice you may connect up to six mount push buttons which means you can have six doors attended by a single device. Sound is OK and I did not have problems with signal range. The system has been working for over three months and so far the battery is up and running.
Honeywell Wireless Push Button
I needed this wireless push button to go with my wireless doorbell. Did not want to string wire from a wired system that was not working all that well. I purchased one Honeywell Wireless system and added a second door bell button. Works great.Looks nice on the door too.

-it's actually for dog training, it has to be larger than your average door bell, and easy to push.

If you use a section of coil spring circling the press button and place a piece of perspex or mdf above and below this should give you the stability Screw doorbell button to piece of MDF then put coil spring around the doorbell and hold it in place with clips the coil spring should be very slightly higher than the button then then fix the piece of MDF that will be pressed to operate the bell you may need a couple of blocks of Mdf to prevent the large button damaging the wireless unit

Maybe you could just glue something larger onto the doorbell button.

wireless door bell question?

so we bought a wireless door bell (since our house didnt have one). i installed it last week and its a little slow to react, but it works. on saturday we were sitting around at night watching tv when the door bell rang (at like 12:30am). we were right next to the door, but when we opened it, no one was there. my fiance said it must have been some kid just joking around. well this morning at 7:30 i was asleep on the couch when the bell rang again! went outside, again, no one out there. my fiance said it must be the wind. but i dont think the wind can push a button.

so does anyone else have a wireless door bell that randomly goes off? i dont know what brand it is, but it was like $20 at lowes, so nothing too great i'm sure. but this is just weird... and a little spooky

ok its caused by another device like a tv remote or something similar it could be in a neighbours house etc or a car remote etc.some wireless bells have a feature where u can adjust the frequency it works on ,look in the insructions. you should be able to change a 4 digit code in the the bell box and the bell button.if your bell does not have this feature u will need to buy one that does.

my wireless door bell rings all the time when no one touches it. can i fix this problem?

If it's ringing continuously, it's likely to be the push contacts sticking. I don't know if you can get to them (probably not). If it rings "sometimes" without your button being pressed, it's likely the receiver is responding to someone else's door push. In that case, just change your code. It's an easy job and your instructions will tell you how.

I need to purchase a loud wireless door bell for my warehouse. Prefer a Bell type, as loud as possible. Thanks

You can sometimes find Nautical Bells on e-bay. Although the bigger ones do tend to be pricey.

wireless door bell model 181-6143?

need manual

If you know the manufacturer you should be able to go to their web site and view or download the manual. At worst you may need to ask them to snail mail it to you. You didn't provide the manufacturer, so I couldn't find anything on just the model number.
