A Quality Product at A Very Good Price
I purchased this dog crate for my Boxer (Champ the Wonder Dog) 3 months ago. The item is exactly as described in the listing. It was delivered quickly and packaged accordingly. It arrived in perfect condition. It took me about 5 minutes to unpack the crate and set it up. It is of good quality materials and construction and up to date, very durable. The double doors are very handy. I have placed a variety of dog mats, pillows, etc. in there for my dog. It is large enough to accommodate a variety of pet bedding. My Boxer stands almost two feet tall and weighs in at seventy pounds. There is more than enough room for him in this crate (42" X 28"). I leave the door open and he uses this as his day bed. It is a handy place to locate his play toys, bones, etc. when he is not playing with them. It came with a partition but I have no use for it. I imagine the partition would be handy for smaller dogs, puppies, or perhaps to co-locate two or more dogs within the same crate. As Champ the Wonder Dog is comfortable in his "home", leaving him in there for up to four hours at a time while no one is home seems to suit him fine. He is crashed out in there now as I review this item. I would recommend this item to anyone that has a need for one. I would also recommend purchasing this item through Amazon.com as they have the best price and prompt shipping. I am certain you dog will be happy with his new home.

great crate

We just brought home a lab puppy and this crate has been extremely helpful. The divider is just what we needed to crate train him. Don't believe those who tell you crates are cruel. Our puppy goes into it without force to sleep. It is also very helpful for peace of mind at night and when we're away. Our puppy was housebroken in 1 week thanks to the use of this crate. It is also easy to pack up and bring with us when we're going on a road trip.

Dog Kennel
This was a gift for a kennel which was destroyed by my dog when I borrowed it. The destroyed crate cost much more and wasn't nearly as durable. I, and the recipient, are pleased with the product and would recommend it.

The best crate out there!
This is the second Midwest Life Stages crate I have purchased over the last couple of years. The first one was for our 2 year old lab and we decided we didn't need it after about 9 or 10 months. Wish I had never sold it because we just got an 8 week old puppy. The divider in the middle is great to keep the crate small enough so that the puppy is cozy and does not make the crate too big at first which helps with potty training. Our puppy loves his crate and I highly recommend it to anyone. Amazon had the cheapest prices I have ever seen for this crate. It was about (...) less than anywhere else. The shipping was ridiculously fast too.

The material is poor and all of a sudden it started breaking all around. For assembling this product you must use a little but of force at some point, but it seems that whoever chose the fabric didn't consider this... thats why mine is all over. teared

deluxe storage closet
I purchased two units. My daughter and I put them together. Both tore on the top when pulling over the frame. We put clothes into my daughter's unit and clothes in the other for her husband. My daughters broke on the first day and fell in. My Son in Laws lasted one day more. The plastic frame broke on both. We did not put the heavy clothes in either(jeans, coats, etc.).

Great closet substitute
I was a little worried that such a low cost product was going to give me issues with assembly and durability. A friend and I put it together in about 15 minutes (might have been less if we'd bothered with the instructions ^_^). As for durability, I've only had it for about a month, but I have an incredible amount of stuff hanging on the rod with considerable weight. I would have expected it to sag, but the central support has it holding everything up without the slightest sag. I have my purses and bags on the bottom, as well as blankets and hats on top of it. For me, this is the perfect alternative to a dresser, and suplement to a small apartment closet.

If standing on the outside of house, can the left side of a double door at the main entry to the home be utilized as the main (functional) door? Is that acceptable? The stationary door would be on the right side as you go in.

Yes it is acceptable. My aunt and uncle's house is double doored, and the left side (standing outside and facing the doors) is and always has been their main door! It's all according to preference.

Exterior Double Door Hardware - Finish work?

Completing my house (had to fire the contractor). Anyway, I had purchased a pre-hung 8' double door unit that is pre-drilled for knobs. The unit was pre-hung in the unit with the stationary door hardware alredy installed ( open the one door, then you have to flip the top and bottom levers to open the stationary door). Anyway, the holes were not drilled, nor do I currently have any of the hardware to mount to the top and bottom to ensure the hole do not get wallered out over time. As you can see, I am really not sure of the correct terms for these items and Home Depot is clueless (no, the door unit didn't come from there) Can anyone tell me what I am needing secure this stationary door and where I can get it. Thanks in advance!

The top and bottom levers are called Flush Bolts, the two major suppliers in the USA are Baldwin and Ives.You could try contacting either of these companies and obtaining the two plates and four screws which are interchangeable. If you have a local hardware company or a door manufacturer they may stock flush bolts and have spare parts.

You can live without these parts as the stationary door is unlikely to be opened enough to wear out the holes but fitted they make the job look more professional.

A tip for locating the holes is to smear the head of the bolts with toothpaste, close the door and operate the bolts. You should have two circles of paste to position the holes.

door has a cat flap that i dont need as i dont have a cat. I would like to know if there is an effective way of covering it to cut out the draft that is coming through it and making my kitchen incredibly cold! Thanks

I would insert a piece of that pink or blue insulation foam into it. You can purchase it in different thicknesses at home depot. it is cheap. it is easy to cut with a utility knife or an old steak knife. Then i would neatly staple a piece of thick fabric like velour over it.
