Questions about buying a door sweep?

I'm going to buy a door sweep to cover the bottom of my door and keep out the cigarette smells coming from my hallway outside. My questions are:

1) Is it worth it to install two door sweeps (on the front/back) or just one for the inside?

2) Where should I get my door sweep resized? I need mine in 33" but I noticed that canadian tire only sells them at 36". Maybe Home Depot can do better?

If you have a door sill or threshold the outer sweep will tear of within a couple of weeks. Buy the larger size and cut it to your door's dimensions

Can I get a larger door sweep for my storm door?

I just installed a storm door but I did not realize that the door sweep would not cover the gap at the bottom of the door. I have at least 1" of space. Can I buy a larger sweep and if so where or am I stuck framing the top of the opening out and re-hanging the door.

Frost-King makes one that is very simple to install. It's "U" shaped and adjustable. Measure your door width. Most doors are either 2/10 or 3/0, that is 34" or 36". Go to the hardware store or home center and buy a sweep that will fit your door.

The sweep will usually be slightly wider than your doo so you will need a hacksaw to trim the excess. Once trimed to size, you place the sweep under your door and mark the hole locations. Always pre-drill the screw holes. Now attach the sweep with the provided screws and adjust how far down it goes by opening and closing the door and adjust as needed.

I just heard about the Twin Draft Guard and there is not enough information about it on the web. Its got mixed reviews. But the thing i am wondering is which is better against protection from drafts? Twin Draft guard, Door sweep, or something else that I didn't hear of yet?

Looks to me like that gadget will move and/or fall off. Door sweep is a better option. How about good ol fahion weatherstrip? Comes in a variety of sizes and styles. Visit your local hardware store.

Maybe you could borrow a drill from someone...there's really no other way to do it. You could try hammering in a small nail and then pulling it out and putting in the screw, but you'd probably strip the screw if the door was made of stronger metal than the door.

Drills aren't that expensive either, and if you bought one then you'd have it the next time you needed it.
