I have the HELP! door hinge replacements for both passenger and driver sides, top and bottom hinges...just wondering if there is a printable version of the directions? I used to have acces to ALLDATA....but sadly not any more...can anyone help?

That is a pretty simple operation and generally alldata does not have the simple stuff in it. You can buy the hinge pin kits from Chevrolet. Drive the pins up from the bottom - install the bushings provided - drive the new pins in from the top. Do each hinge one at a time. You can use a padded jack stand underneath the rear bottom of the door to help hold the door up or a buddy.

Automatic hinge pin door closer?

I wasn't sure if BOTH toothed legs were supposed to touch the door hinge, or stay 1/2 inch apart. I rotated the tension collar counter clockwise after making sure one toothed leg touched the door hinge tightly. I then put the lock pin back in and tried the door to see if it would shut by itself. Nothing. Did I turn the tension collar too far counterclockwise? Is it possible to return the toothed legs to 1/2 inch apart and start over...or once you turn counter clockwise, is it too late?

each of the toothed egdes need to touch each of the outsides of the hinge

then you will be able to adjust the tensioner properly and be careful if you dont get that little pin in place deep enough to hold before moving that tiny little allen wrench for another grip it will fly across the room breaking anything in the way

I took the door off my Whirlpool range to clean it and I can't get it back on. I printed a page in a Whirlpool repair guide which refered to a hinge retainer pin but I don't know what that is or how it will help to get the door back on.

IF YOU DONT HAVE THE HINGE PINS YOU CAN USE A SMALL NAIL AND INSERT IT HALF WAY INTO THE HOLE... RELEASE THE HINGE SO THAT THE NAIL RESTS ON THE INSIDE DOOR PANEL...DO THIS TO BOTH DOOR HINGES... NOW YOU CAN REINSTALL THE DOOR... WHEN THE HINGE DROPS INTO PLACE OPEN THE DOOR FULLY AND REMOVE THE PINS...
