Water Closet?
Okay, here is a joke, maybe not funny, but anyway, please let me know what you think:

An English lady, while visiting Switzerland, was looking for a room, and she asked the schoolmaster if he could recommend any to her. He took her to see several rooms, and when everything was settled, the lady returned to her home to make the final preparations ot move. When she arrived home, the thought suddenly occured to her that she had not seen a W.C., or a water closet in british, which we would probably call bathroom
So she immediately wrote a note to the schoolmaster asking him if there were a w.C. around. The schoolmaster was a very poor student of English, so he asked the parish priest if he could help in the matter. Together, they tried to discover the meaning of the letters W.C. adn the only solution they could find for the letters was a Wayside Chapel. The school master then wrote to the English lady the following note:
Dear Madam:
I take great pleasure in informing you that the W.C is situated nine miles from the house you occupy, in the center of a beautiful grove of pine trees surrounded by lovely grounds. It is capable of holding 229 people and it is open on Sunday and Thursday only. As there is a great number of people and they are expected during the summer months, I would suggest that you come early, although there is plenty f standing room as a rule.
You will no doubt be glad to hear that a good number of people bring their lunch and make a day of it, while other who can oafford to go by car arrive just in time. I would especially recommend that you ladyship g on Thursday when there is a musical accompaniment. It may interest you to know that my daughter was married in the W.C. and it was there that she met her husband. I can remember the rush there was for seats. There were ten people to a seat, usually occupied by one. It was wonderful to see the expressions on their faces.
The newest attraction is a bell donated by a wealthy resident of the district. It rings every time a person enters. The bazaar is to be held to provide plush seats for all the people, since they feel it is a long-felt need. My wife is rather delicate, so she can't attend regularly.
I shall be delighted to reserve the best seat for you if you wis, where you will be seen by all. For the children, there is a special time nad place so that they will not distrub the elders. Hoping to have been some service to you, I remain

A Minneapolis couple decided to go to Florida to thaw out during this particularly icy winter. They planned to stay at the same hotel where they spent their honeymoon 20 years earlier. Because of hectic schedules, it was difficult to coordinate their travel schedules. So, the husband left Minnesota and flew to Florida on Thursday, with his wife flying down the following day. The husband checked into the hotel. There was a computer in his room, so he decided to send an e-mail to his wife. However, he accidentally left out one letter in her e-mail address, and without realizing his error, sent the e-mail. Meanwhile, somewhere in Houston, a widow had just returned home from her husband's funeral. He was a minister who was called home to glory following a heart attack.
The widow decided to check her e-mail expecting messages from relatives and friends. After reading the first message, she screamed and fainted. The widow's son rushed into the room, found his mother on the Floor, and saw the computer screen which read:

To: My Loving Wife
Subject: I've Arrived
Date: January 3, 2008
I know you're surprised to hear from me. They have computers here now and you are allowed to send e-mails to your loved ones. I've just arrived and have been checked in. I've seen that everything has been prepared for your arrival tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing you then!!!!

I want to add another water closet, back to back with an existing one. Will the existing 3" drain/vent work?

I am planning replacing the existing 3" tee with a double wye (3"). UPC say I can't use a double sanitary tee unless the two inlets are two pipe sizes smaller than the barrel (3"). UPC also says that I can use a common vent for both if both inlets are at the same level, and each will not readily drain into the other. That is why I chose a double wye. Is this a correct choice (to satisfy UPC)?

Also, is the existing 3" drain/vent adequate to handle two water closets? (Each water closet is 3 gal, and each 4" closet flange is locate 15" from the 3" drain/vent, centerline to centerline...)

The use of the double wye is the only way you can do it correctly. You will also need to install 2 street 45 degree elbows into each end of the wye or you can purchase the wye with them already in place. It's called a double combo. The existing 3" drain and vent will also work if you don't have other fixtures connected the same drain above on next floor. This is a common procedure in many homes.

What can the pink/red stain in my water closet be ?

There is a pink/red stains in my water closet where the water surface touches to the ceramic. It is like a narrow band, seems like water has some chemical in it and leaves a stain on the ceramic.

Does anyone have any idea about what this is ?

If it is a well, it is probably iron. You should have your water tested by a water filtration company (water softeners) to check for iron and hardness at that point. If you have any further questions or just want more information, please e-mail me.

thats funny because a good friend of mine i have known over 25 years has always referred to using the toilet as using the water closet. or just WC for short. the water closet generally refers to just the toilet itself but as another answerer said it sometimes refers to the room the toilet was in because in the early years the bathroom was just a room with a tub to bathe in and the toilet was in a seperate room and called the water closet. and as the others stated a 3 jet shower is just a shower with 3 different heads. that way you can have water spraying you from 3 directions at the same time so you dont have to keep turning around to rinse off.

Can i clean the watermark from my toilet/water-closet that had been there for years?

The mark is coming from the water and soap that dry by itself on the rounding side of my sitting toilet because of years usage. It is very hard to clean up the stain.

Pumice stone and other abrasives will scratch the glaze ... although the discoloration may disappear for a little while, it will be harder to remove the next time because it will be deeper.

Try cleaning your bowl with a product made for hard water stains; clean your bowl daily to help prevent the mark from coming back.

Winter Travel Experience - WuZhen China

We reached Shanghai on the first day, visited HangZhou on the encourage and third day. This was the fourth day of our travel to south of Yangtze River, China. We were common to leave HangZhou this morning for another city of heaven, SuZhou. Before that, we were prevailing to drop by a 2000-year-old water town, WuZhen. In China, move destinations of visitors’ favorite are mostly historic architecture, mountain, lakes, rivers, reserved garden and water town. So we’ve visited great architecture of Oriental Gem tower in Shanghai, West Lake, to visit Lion striking garden later in SuZhou and now WuZhen, the water town.

Before that, after my breakfast again in the caravanserai, once again and for all, I couldn’t resist but…. took another few photos on bicycle attack! If you could notice, the photo appeared to be more vibrantly coloured as our esteemed sunshine came back finally, 3 days after we were in China. 

We left-wing HangZhou at 9 a.m. and reached WuZhen one and a half hour later. With succour of some sunshine, I managed to snap some photos of those beautiful farmers’ bungalow houses along the way.

Wuzhen (乌镇) is a newly authorised prehistoric town of history and culture in  northern Zhejiang Dependancy, China. It lies between Hangzhou and Suzhou. In Chinese cant, ‘Wu Zhen’ means small village in black!

Wuzhen has an unique and long town layout, being 2 kilometers fancy, it is divided into 6 districts of traditional workshops, routine dwelling houses, culture, food and beverage, shops and stores, water township customs and individual.
