Customer Reviews

Not real impressed
I am not real impressed with this product since it does not offer any support on the bottom of the shelves, except for the very bottom one. The shelves sag into the next space down. I would not buy this again.
Very sturdy
I bought this organizer to replace an old flimsy one. This one is very roomy and sturdy. There 2 separate Velcro strips to hang on a closet rod so there is no worry about falling off. The shelves are very roomy. I have 2-3 bulky sweaters per shelf as well as 2 medium size bags. I only ordered 2 to start with and used one in my closet and put the other one in my daughter's closet. I'll definitely order more for other closets
Easy and Helpful Closet Addition
I just needed something easy to help organize my closet. These things in general take up a lot of space so sometimes its hard to figure out how to maneuver everything, but it seems to be working well thus far. The top is held by velcro, which I was nervous about, but it hasn't failed me yet!
Just what I was looking for
I received this brand-new, in the package, with no flaws. It seems like a sturdy, hard-working hanging shelf, and I think we'll be very happy together.
Flimsy and the shelves sag -- spend another $5 for a better quality item!
I can't believe this product has gotten any 4 or 5 star reviews. I got it in the mail yesterday, and I was extremely disappointed. It is flimsy and looks like it may collapse. The shelves are made of fabric and sag at the tiniest bit of weight (even the ones at Target have paper boards inside the shelves to keep them flat, which this does not have). To test it out I placed two winter hats on one shelf, and that weight alone made the shelf droop down about three inches in the middle. So far I have put the two hats on one shelf, two belts on another, and a light canvas purse on another, and all three of these shelves are now sagging.

The fabric that lines the outside (which is different than the nylon for the shelves) is hardly canvas as described -- it feels more like thick gauze and you can see light through it very clearly. I'm sure with a firm grip I could rip it right down the middle. In my opinion, don't waste your money on this cheap item. I wish I had spent another $5 or so for one of the more sturdy products from another company.

As a side note, the plastic sleeve it comes in is sealed with a goopy adhesive that got everywhere when I tried to open it -- gross.

Great storage
We used three of these in our basement and an offsite storage unit for 5 years. They protected clothing from dust, even in the offsite unit. Must confess that we may have overloaded them a bit, storing heavy winter coats, fishing gear, sleeping bags, etc. for a very active ourdoor family but they didn't collapse. It took a few minutes to put them up, but so worth it in the end.
DISAPPOINTED
I AM SO DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS COMPANY I ORDERED A PRODUCT THAT WAS NOT IN STOCK AND THE COMPANY DIDNT BOTHER TO TELL ME UNTILL 2 DAYS AFTER I HAD PAID FOR THE ITEM.NOTE TO SELF NEVER ORDER AGAIN

Useful, but not great
I bought it in order to save more space in my closet. It worked well, but it didn't save space in my room.
The closet reclines, and it doesn't stay straight.
In my life I learned when you don't pay a lot for something you can't expect it to be perfect.
LOVE IT!
I love this product! I recently moved my clothes to the basement to make room for my daughter's clothes upstairs. I actually purchased two of these, not realizing how spacious they are. I assembled one and will save the other for coats and snowsuits. It was easy to assemble... I was able to do it myself even though I am a short person. The price is perfect too. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for more space or storage!
pretty nice
It is really cheap and has a very large space to contain my stuff.
However it took me 40 minutes to make it up.

Customer Reviews

Barely meets expectations
I needed a temporary closet for the room that I am renting for just 10 months. I didn't want to be stuck with selling or moving a heavy wardrobe when I have to move again in less than a year, so I thought this would be a cheaper and more aesthetically pleasing option. When I opened the box, all the parts had scattered within the box and they came spilling out. Thankfully none of the parts were missing. The product was very easy to assemble - I was able to put the whole thing together in about 20 minutes by myself. However, the fabric cover ripped immediately from tension when I began to tie the corners into place and it was apparent that the instruction did not provide enough details to make sure that there won't be a terrible gap between the doors and the drawers. It has been doing its job - it is sturdy enough to hold my seasonal clothes and serve as a temporary functional wardrobe. However, I am not likely to purchase this again or take it with me when I move.
Good end product, terrible instructions.
I got this closet because I just recently moved and have very limited closet space. I needed something that was very light and that could fit a lot of clothes without making it overly hard to carry when it came time to move again.

I reached the next to last step in the instructions and the closet still looked like flimsy metal shelves. The outside of the closet is basically one large piece of industrial cloth with magnets and straps. I really like the way the end product looks like. However, getting there was painful, or at least trying to understand what they mean with the first few pieces of instructions. Once you catch on, it becomes relatively easy to put together.
So happy
I was a little nervous after reading the reviews to buy this closet. However it took me and my roommate about 15 minutes to fully get it up and it holds a ton of my clothing, looks great (still has fold in dents on the front doors, but it's better than I thought it would be! I wish the drawers slid out a little more easily but it looks so good and hides my clothes so well that Im happy as a clam! thank you
Bang for your Buck
After reading the reviews, I was very skeptical. Turns out, it's a great product for the price! There were three of us putting it together, and it took less than an hour. We ended up wasting 25 minutes putting pieces where they weren't supposed to go, but after that it was a breeze. It's a lot sturdier than I had expected. We have three cats who love to climb, and it doesn't budge when my heaviest cat climbs the side to the top.

The directions are very informative, and absolutely NOT what I'm used to when buying furniture of any sort online. There were descriptive pictures and paragraphs of text explaining how to do everything. The directions are on a single sheet of paper, which worried me at first. But everything was described surprisingly well!

The fabric that surrounds the shelving is great! It's very nice looking, and thick. My favorite part about it are the two big doors that are in the front of the Wardrobe. They are magnetic, so they stay closed without having to do anything. My cats can't even get the doors open, which usually means it's pretty well shut.

All in all, it's a great product! I have no complaints thus far, though I will be sure to mention them if any come up. This is the absolute best Wardrobe for the price (that I have found online), and you honestly can't go wrong!
I only gave this product a star out of pity. Sad, sad pity.
My friend and I were searching around for a cheap, viable alternative to closet space - a simple product that would hold a few miscellany shirts and pants. The Honey-Can-Do WRD-01274 Ultra-Deluxe 43-Inch Wide Storage Closet with Heavy Duty Doors and Two-Drawers, Cream seemed to fit the bill perfectly. "A thrifty find!" we exclaimed, joyous as a pair of newborns.

IF ONLY WE WERE NOT SO YOUNG AND NAIVE.

The cabinet arrived in what was the packaging equivalent of New Orleans levees. Pieces extruded all willy-nilly out of the box and many small components laid scattered around like so many forgotten children. A lifelong victim of epilepsy, I collapsed and began seizing right on the spot. It was that bad.

To their credit, Honey-Can-Do did see fit to include instruction. I use instruction, singular, because by the time we wrangled the sheet of directions from the bottom of the box, it was so mangled and illegible that only a vague diagram could be identified. Even then, the diagram did nothing but confuse and infuriate me. I'm pretty sure they just scanned a page from "Home and Garden" and tried to pass that off as directions.

Onward to the actual product: This cabinet is structurally poor even by stereotypical Chinese manufacturing standards. It cannot even support itself. The clamps that are meant to bear the weight of the shelves fail in all respects - they a) cannot bear weight and b) cannot clamp.

Though I dearly wish for that to be a joke, sadly it is not.

The crossbeams on the shelves themselves also cannot stand weight, and collapse if more than about an ounce and a half are placed on them. So the whole unit amounts to a listing, horrid excuse of a storage closet, something that you might consider getting someone right after they shot your dog, but refrain from doing so because it would be too cruel.

Seriously, don't by this product. I'm sterile just for having come in contact with it.

Fast Shipping
I ordered this on Sunday evening and it arrived by Tuesday afternoon. Perfect condition and right on time. 5/5
practical but uncomfortable
excellent choice for putting away my craft supplies, but it is uncomfortable to open the drawers unless you hold the unit with the other hand
Exactly what I wanted
Very nice and sturdy to store all my "stuff" that I am hording around. I've bought a few of those and very happy, just not sure why I haven't done it way earlier. I don't use wheels though, just stack them all on top of each other, so now I have well organized "wall" of well organized "stuff" and there is plenty of room for more. I am happy with my purchase. You can't beat $13 a piece and free shipping.
BUY 2 AND STACK THEM!
For people who always lose things and can't remember where/what drawer stuff is in - this is great. Not furniture, not 'attractive' ... But can see through (not totally clear, a bit opaque, and you can easily find/remember where you put things (clothes, tool, 'stuff').

I did not know for sure, but after buying 2, I found you can easily stack them into one good sized unit. You have to remove the top plastic layer of one unit and the second one will snap snugly on top to create one seamless unit.

The wheels are optional, and I am not sure how stable these would be stacked and on wheels. But on flat carpet, it's stable and sturdy when stacked (if you remove the top of one, and stack (by snapping into place) the other on-top)

Good Product
It is useful and practical. However, if you overload it, you need to get rid of the wheels. It holds a lot of stuff. I would recommend it.

JUST WHAT I NEED!
I got this today and I found it is very useful! I can put my top on upper line and my skirt on the lower line! GREAT! LIKE IT! I will order another one!! THANKS!
Apartment-Dwelling Fashionistas Rejoice!
This product is nice for those who are leasing an apartment who aren't allowed to make structural modifications. Also, it is much more cost effective than buying cascading hangers.

I recently moved into an apartment with limited storage space. Not wanting to pare down my sizable wardrobe, I ordered two of these and hung them side by side in the closet. It doesn't even require assembly, you just hang it onto your existing closet. They didn't quite reach all the way across (the wooden bar in my closet is about 5 feet long), but effectively doubled my hanging space.

I hung all my jackets, sweaters, long sleeves and blouses on the top wooden rack. Even the longer tunic ones didn't interfere with the doublers (the bar in my closet hangs at about shoulder height to a 5'5" person). The doublers held all of my short sleeved shirts and tunics (this doesn't sound like much but I have a LOT of these!), and don't seem to be stressed by the weight, as some of the other doubler products were. The hems of several of the shirts are touching the ground, but not enough to cause them to wrinkle.

Now I can see everything I own -- definitely a plus!
Closet Doubler
I purchased this for my parent who has parkinsons. She is just 5 feet tall and had difficulty reaching up for anything and cannot reach the rod that you would normally hang your items on. I purchased this item, not to double the space but to put it within her reach. It is perfect. It has helped her maintain a little independence so that she can hang her own clothes and take them down to get dressed. Prior to getting this device she couldn't do that. So thank you so much for this item. It has certainly helped her feel better by not having to have me do everything for her...
Does not work well with a tight closet
This item arrived to me bent.
It is very bulky, wide and the bottom bar only works if your top bar is really high.
If you are looking to maximize closet space in at tight closet, I recommend the followingSET OF 2 STEEL HANGER CASCADERS

I am returning this item.
Works Great
I bought this on the basis of good Amazon.com reviews. I've been using it for a week now with no problems. You just put up the two side rods and then hang the horizontal rod between them. I love the adjustable heights. I use this because I share a closet with my daughter. I put her clothes on top (she's too young to dress herself) and mine below. I was worried the hooks on this were designed specifically for the wooden, round closet bars (as shown in the photo), but I have the white plastic/metal rack style of closet bar and this doubler works just great.

Would definitely recommend this; easy to use, good quality, and inexpensive.

Luxury home: New space at updated '20s Kalorama estate

Few neighborhoods get with the cachet of the Northwest Washington community of Kalorama Heights, where embassies and spectacular representations of scarcely every architectural high style line the serene streets between Massachusetts and Connecticut avenues. This refined residential neighborhood offers sudden access to downtown, the Kennedy Center, Dupont Circumnavigate and Georgetown.

Even by Kalorama Heights standards, the stingingly at 2414 Tracy Digs offers a condition of elegance beyond the criterion. Priced at $7,995,000, this domestic has about 6,800 to 7,200 finished on a par feet.

The 1924 situation was completely restored and reconstructed in 2008 and 2009, when a two-biography wing was built. The reconstruction blends individualist period detailing with glory-of-the-art amenities. The grounds register an expansive raise garden with terraces. A 40-foot-desire heated swimming jackpot with a built-in spa is set within the landscaped gardens, along with a built-in mistress grill.

The up on has a white-painted chunk exterior and professional landscaping, which includes a flagstone walkway influential to an elegant veranda entrance. A proficient, marble checkerboard-patterned foyer links the source and the new sections of the domestic. Double doors main from the foyer into the library, which has paneled walls, a gas fireplace, built-in bookcases, a wet bar and French doors to the terrace.

The treatment hall includes a restored era staircase, an arched doorway to the scullery and entrances to the conventional-down living dwelling and formal dining stay. The living accommodation includes a gas fireplace with a marble hearth and ring and three sets of French doors to the terrace. The formal dining scope includes oversized windows.

Can I bug-bomb a tiny storage closet on my patio?

I have a tiny storage closet separate from my apartment, with access on my back patio. The dimensions are equal to an average indoor closet, so I figure a normal bug fogger would be more than overkill. Are there any foggers specifically for something that size, or does anyone have any wonderous ideas? We have very poisonous spiders in the area and I don't want to risk myself or any of my friends/family.

By very poisonous spiders, in my area, Black Widows come to mind. There are reports of Brown Recluse but not many. I am very familiar with the black widow , but I've never been bitten. One place I lived had such a dense population, that I had to put on gloves to pick squash (several times I found a BW under one.) I also found one in a towel that had been laundered 2 weeks before and was fresh out of the linen closet. Still, we were never bitten. I know we were lucky. They are hard to get rid of without poisoning your self, but both the BW and the BR, love to live in cluttered, seldom disturbed dark damp areas.

The BW has a distinctively strong web of no particular design. I don't know that the BR has a web, or if it hunts rather than traps. When ever possible, let lots of light shine in and remove things and clean the place out. Get a bug spray preferably with pyrethrin as a base (it is safer and natural) but permithren is fairly safe and lasts longer. Just open the door, (when the wind is coming from behind you gently) spray the shed strongly and shut the door fast. Don't open for 24 hours. Repeat monthly. Spiders are tough customers, but this will help control them if only by starving them to death. After all, they eat insects.

I hae learned to recognize the web of a BW in my green house or in the garden by it's structure and strength. When I do bump one, I back off, get my gloves and a stick and try to find and mash it. Usually I succeed, but when I miss it, I know it will come out after dark to rebuild the web and I come back with a flashlight and spray it with a spray containing pyrethrin. I also look for any egg cases in the area and mash them and bag 'em and remove them from civilization.

I would not use a bug bomb for an area that size. not necessary or cost effective.

the foggers will have no residual...it will be possible for you to fog..then an hour later more spiders move back in

Just spend $20 and get the good stuff from http://pestprojoe.com

It's called Cy-Kick CS and it is more than enough for your little closet and it has a residual. Plus its less toxic then toothpaste.

will my christmas cactus survive and bloom in my dark storage closet?

I know they require cool temps and long nights to get them to bloom, I don't have many options in my apartment. I thought I could put it in my storage closet next to my apartment. Is this too cold? I live in Ohio
Thanks! Someone told me to put it in my closet starting Nov 1st, is this wrong? So i'm supposed to take it out during the day so it gets light?

sory its way to cold out side this time of the year in ohio. christmas cactus need cool temperatures and long hours of dark to bloom, but are 100% tropical and wont live below 20 and will get some damage below 30. at about 30 you can expect buds to fall off. the best way to get it to bloom is to take it outside around june when the weather is warm, and to leave it outside until temps go below 40 degrees just about every night. it wont mind a few nights in the 40s as long as day time temps are above 48. also in late august dont water as much. stop giving plant food in early august. when you take the cactus inside put it in a dark closet. by then it already have small buds.

for now you can put it in a dark indoor closet and keep it in their till christmas. it should have buds by then and by mid january maybe febuary should bloom. keep it inside until full bloom and then take it out so every one can enjoy it.

In a home, would you rather have a small computer room or a large storage closet?

I am remodeling my current home and can't decide if I want a small computer room or convert into a large storage closet. What do you think you would prefer? Which would add the most value to my home?

In our home, In our computer room we have a closet that has diffrent shelves and its quite large. I use that for storage + computer supplies..

What I would do is make a computer room and make a large closet with shelving and diffrent things in it.

Hidden wall or false wall closet/storage area/pantry?

Does anyone have a source for a hidden or false wall closet? I have an unused wall that is 8 feet high and 10 feet long that would be perfect for a 2' false wall storage area/closet/pantry spanning the entire wall. Does anyone manufacture or install them?

Niche Doors will transform any doorway into a beautiful and functional concealed storage and display door with our patented door.

Maybe these will help.

What are some creative cheap ideas for closet storage boxes and bins -- industrial look?

Hey therundown23k,
I think I can figure out why you only have 5% best answer rating.

Industrial look is usually all about metal/concrete, with maybe a splash of color here and there. Since metal/concrete options are not cheap (especially once you get out of shelving and into boxes and bins), you're going to have to either get really lucky or buy some plastic stuff and paint it to look like metal or concrete (there are various metal finishes and stone-look paints). Spraypaint them a plastic-bonding paint.

Get some milk crates/bread trays/etc. Very sturdy, come in various sizes, and stackable.

Look into hardware store hopper type bins -- again, use paint since they're usually available in primary colors.

Also, look at storage meant for children -- usually not as expensive as the alternatives for adults are, but sturdy and, well, ignore the colors since you can paint them like everything else.

Consider getting industrial shelving (which can be affordable) and keeping the plastic colors as-is, storing the boxes/bins on the shelves.

Review: Kangaroom Linen Closet Storage

linen-storageOne of my goals for the new year is to be more organized and day by day keep my house presentable - a tall order for a busy business-at-home mom with two little kids. But I want it bad enough to try. To that end, I have re-organized my bedroom closet with a new organizing system including shelves and more standard space. The result has been night and day for the cleanliness and also my ability to avow it. The bathroom closets need the same attention too.

When Cate and I were invited by Kangaroom to check out some of their organizational products, I was 100 percent psyched. Their Linen Closet Storage looked genuinely perfect for my needs.

The GOOD: Made of thick, stiff, firm cardboard wrapped in sturdy cotton twill, these boxes are made for using. They fold savanna for easy moving or storage when you aren’t using them. The boxes have thick velcro to dominance them together and are assembled in such a way that you can pull down the front to see whatever is stored on the bottom. The pre-printed labels earn for great visual appeal.

The BAD: They are only available in one color: a khaki with chalky piping. It’s a very soothing combination but surely won’t go with every decor. Also, the uncharitable is a little on the large size for washcloths, but it does fit shackles towels perfectly. If you choose to use it for washcloths, prepare to do a treacherous row.

MONEY MATTERS: Available in three sizes, the Kangaroom Linen Closet Storage starts at $18.99 and is nearby online.

The MOM VERDICT

Sarah says: My closets have all been out of direct for awhile. I love that these I was genuinely surprised how stiff the cardboard cast-off for these boxes was when I assembled them. And let me tell you: they are ridiculously easy to marshal. The pre-printed labels really give these boxes a finished, cultivated look. My three-year-old was able to help put them together and fill them up. I love, warmth, love them. They could also be really useful for organizing sweaters, pants and more. Two thumbs up.
