Customer Reviews

Great addition to metal rack
I really like this canvas cover. It keeps my clothes from getting all dusty. It is still stiff - I was hoping it would loosen up after being hung for a while, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. It looks really nice, though, making the rack seem more like a closet then just a rack. I would recommend purchasing it =)
WHITMOR - GARMENT RACK W/COVER
Love the garment rack. It is the size I was looking for!
It is durable efficient and most of all it creates a romantic setting your room when cover is tied with ribbons.
Substantial-looking Storage
The Whitmore system stands above others I have purchased. It does not bow or collapse under the weight of my clothes. Its button closures keep my clothes clean, and the design is pleasing to the eye so that it could work well in a bedroom as well as a basement. Keep in mind that you will have to purchase the framework for it separately--still an excellent buy because of the quality.
Well made...
The material is solidly made and looks extremely durable. I am quite pleased with my purchase and would highly recommend it.
Not Good at All!
1. Amazon Description gives the impression that it includes the frame. But it does not and it will cost you over 60$ to get that separately. It must state clearly that for this item you need to buy the frame separately or it will be worthless.
2. The cover has total of 3 cheap buttons to fasten the front (instead of a zipper or at least more buttons!) and dust can easily migrate into the cover!! Which defeats the purpose.
Unfortunately none of the comments included this information and it seems I am the only one who was dumb enough not to know what I am getting or dislike what I got.
If you want to protect your clothing, get something else. I returned this piece of ....

DISAPPOINTED
I AM SO DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS COMPANY I ORDERED A PRODUCT THAT WAS NOT IN STOCK AND THE COMPANY DIDNT BOTHER TO TELL ME UNTILL 2 DAYS AFTER I HAD PAID FOR THE ITEM.NOTE TO SELF NEVER ORDER AGAIN

Useful, but not great
I bought it in order to save more space in my closet. It worked well, but it didn't save space in my room.
The closet reclines, and it doesn't stay straight.
In my life I learned when you don't pay a lot for something you can't expect it to be perfect.
LOVE IT!
I love this product! I recently moved my clothes to the basement to make room for my daughter's clothes upstairs. I actually purchased two of these, not realizing how spacious they are. I assembled one and will save the other for coats and snowsuits. It was easy to assemble... I was able to do it myself even though I am a short person. The price is perfect too. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for more space or storage!
pretty nice
It is really cheap and has a very large space to contain my stuff.
However it took me 40 minutes to make it up.
Rubbermaid wardrobe - ok
I purchased the Rubbermaid Wardrobe storage. It was a little difficult putting together & the upper back corner ripped. It will do for the purpose I need it for & the price I paid.

Customer Reviews

Not what I expected
I expected sturdy, canvas covered shelves and what I got were slippery, saggy plastic shelves and sent it back.
Great for storing jeans!
I have stored 23 pairs of jeans with this product and I can say this is the best product I have ever purchased. The velcro is extremely durable and although there is some tension at the top (jeans are heavy), the individual sections have kept their shape/structure. I will be buying more for sweaters and purses!
good for the space
Exact fit needed for a small closet in a small room. Helps use the space better.
WILL DO THE DEED
IT MAY NOT BE PERFECT - BUT CLOSE TO IT. I DO LIKE THIS ORGANIZER FOR SWEATERS, JEANS, ETC. I LIKE IT ENOUGH THAT I AM GOING TO ORDER TWO MORE. RECOMMEND IT!
Bad design for its purchase!
I bought this organizer because of so many raving reviews about it, but was disappointed with the item I received. It is PVC shelves not canvas! It's only good for storing t-shirt and light clothes.

8/2/2010 Update: After over a year, I announced that this is the least strong closet organizer we ever purchased. The shelf is flimsy and the sweaters slide out from it. You have to push the clothes deep inside so the soft shelf can hold them. Very very bad design. We got a much stronger organizer at IKEA for less price!

Lands' End's NEW Fashion-Forward Line

Ands’ End has extensive been known for its basics—oxford shirts, polos, even their iconic canvas Lighthouse tote. So what happens when the forty-asset-year-old kind launches a new, innovative, even—puff—vogue-forward new anthology? Lands’ End Canvas , that’s what. The identify rolled out the website ( landsendcanvas.com ) for the omnium gatherum on November 11 and Madison will be (as of now) the first and only town that will have its own Lands’ End Canvas supply, the former Lands’ Ends Not Entirely Perfect inform on at 423 Constitution St. The shop’s recondition is underway and the new department store will open Monday, November 23.

The women’s garnering consists of basics—button-up shirts (oxford, encampment and poplin), canvas pants, a trench, sweaters (cashmere, V-neck, boyfriend cardi), scarves and more. The men’s aggregation has a similar look and pieces. Fits for both are closer to the fullness, the silhouettes updated and looks are to be sure spot-on for the basics-with-a-alter look that American sportswear brands like J. Group and Gap and have so famously perfected. But urge no mistake: Lands’ End Canvas is no Gap or J. Corps—they’ve got that inimitable kind name behind them known for worth that will attract their protracted-standing trade-mark loyalists as well as a new establishment of devotees.

I spoke with Suzanne Bryant, VP of conception for Lands’ End on this alluring new collection (hopes on me, once you go to landsendscanvas.com you’ll be a fan, too).

How do I organize large family portraits on canvas?

I have a stack of family portraits on canvas that I am saving for my children. I am trying to figure out how to store them. There are also larger photos. The large boxes don't seem to work because they don't fit. I hate to just "stuff" them into the attic and I hate to stack them into my closet. I am trying to organize my closet. Please help.

Do you have a Container Store near you? If anyone has picture storage, it would be them. I also bet a mail store would sell picture boxes...you can buy some of those to protect the pictures and keep light off of them.

Is there anyone that has instructions for putting together an enclosed garment closet?

This item was recently purchased at wal-mart.It was moved and we have lost instructions. It is the one with the canvas cover that zips on each side of the cover and also zips down the middle.I can't remember the exact size, but I think it was the 5'.We would really appreciate your help.

Have you tried contacting the company or looking online. You may be able to get the instructions that way.

How should I organize/rearange my second bedroom. I would love it to be a multifunctional.?

It contains too book shelves 1) full of VHS tapes 2) books and magazines. A closet full of tubs clothes, shoes on the tyop shelf. Canvas, two art Easels, acrylic paints, a desktop on a desk, a TV and VCR on a small rolling entertainment cart. my old college trunk with junk in it I'm not ready to through away. and laundry everywhere almost.

Well for starters go through all the laundry and put that stuff away or store it elsewhere.. Same for the storage totes and things you aren't using at the moment.. Maybe get a daybed in there or a sleeper sofa for overnight company... A desk/office chair and keep the art equipment... Go through all your books/tapes/magazines and either DONATE,SELL or Throw away anything you've read or don't want anymore.. .Just think of all the space you would have if you could part with things your aren't using !

what do you want it to be?
a guest bedroom?
a home office?
a crafts area?

if you want a multi- purpose room, you need to have zones so it will look neat and tidy.

you need to purge your stuff.
donate all the things that you don't use in a year.
even better have a yard sale.
throw away all your stuff that are not usable it's just clutter.
the things that you will keep must have a home.
group them according to use.
label all your bins and boxes.
use a cheap notebook list all your stuff so it's easier for you
to find where they are.
always have a trash can in that room and empty it daily.

for your vhs tapes if you don't want them anymore and you cannot sell them in your yard sale, donate it to the library. while if you have cartoons for kids donate them in a pediatric hospital you can help the sick kids by giving them something to watch.

do your laundry when hamper is nearly full, fold them right away and put it back in your closet.

clean your room as you go.

put your things back to their "home" after you use them.

happy organizing.

To all you moms out there who like to wear white canvas sneakers with the 1-2'' platform. see details

the ones like ked sneakers lace up all white with a rubber sole and 1-2'' platform.

tell me why you like them so much and what kind do you have in your closet? what do they look like? give details
the white sneakers who see alot durring the summer from teenagers to older adults and moms. they have the look like keds but with more of a platform and also more fashionable

I do tend to go with sneakers, keds esp. over high heels because I do a lot of running around. I don't know why you'd say, "to all moms out there" when other people besides moms wear them.

Picking Function

Picking.js adds the functionality of picking to Canvas 3D. To agree to picking for your scene, you would need to first instantiate a variable of Picking pedigree with the scene, and then set the onMouseUp (a dummy function) and onMouseDown use from the Picking class. scn = new Scene(); ... ... ... picker = new Picking(scn); scn.setMouseCallback(picker.onMouseUp, picker.onMouseDown); So whenever a mouse click upshot occurs on the canvas screen, the picking function will return an array of numbers, which are thesaurus to the objects in the scene, in the order of closet to furthest from the screen.

The picking role can be broken down into a couple of small steps:
1) Construct a ray starting from where the mouse is clicked to the back of the area
2) Make a bounding box for all objects
3) Test to see if ray intersects with any of the bounding boxes
4) Prove all triangles in an object for intersection with the ray only if they pass the bounding box check-up
5) Sort objects that passed test from closet to furthest

We will now go into more details for each of the steps.

1) Constructing the mouse Ray
The first id needed was the mouse coordinates on the screen. There are going to be disparate kinds of mouse coordinates and we want the right one. There is the coordinates for the mouse on the prefect, the coordinates inside the active window/broswer, and then there’s the coordinates for backing bowels the canvas 3D screen (which is what we want).

The mouse coordinate system we will be using will not be the top left side corner system, instead, the center of the canvas screen will be where (0, 0) is. This will acknowledge us to better determine the mouse vector direction later.
// Find localize of object in browser // Returning it's offset in...
