Great price, great chair.
My son is 6'2", my daughter-in-law is 5 ft. and grandma is 5'9" and it's comfortable for all of us. We looked at a lot of furniture and this type of nursery rocker is very affordable, easy to put together and comfortable. The cushion needed a little extra padding as we spend a lot of time rocking and feeding my grandson in it but that is the only downfall and was an easy fix.

High quality, low price
This glider is awesome -- especially considering the price. The quality is comparable to gliders 2-3x the cost of this one sold at major baby retailers. It glides quietly and smoothly. The espresso color I got matches the espresso color of a completely different brand of crib+dresser I purchased making this glider a perfect and functional complement to the nursery. I have no issues with the padding -- I think they are both soft. My wife and I are not too tall, 5'3 and 5'7 so this glider is perfect for us. However, I could see the glider being a little tight for someone 6'+.

Shipping was quick (as always with Amazon). I was surprised at how small the box was but everything was there. The ottoman requires no assembly -- just some shrinkwrap that was a little bit of a pain to remove. The glider itself was a cinch to assemble. Took about 15 minutes.

Overall, like I said, this glider is awesome. I wouldn't be able to tell the difference if you put this alongside a glider that cost 2-3x the price at any of the major retailers.

Just what we were expecting
We're very happy with the glider and ottoman. We bought the espresso with beige microfiber to use in our baby's nursery. It was not hard to put together, and it looks great with the other furniture. It's a great deal for the money. The only reason I wouldn't give it a 5 is you can tell it won't last FOREVER, but will get us through a number of years in the baby's room

Rocking Chair
This was purchased for our granddaughter's birthday. The night before the birthday my husband started to put the two pieces together. Problem! The seat part of the chair did not have the necessary pieces to hold the screws from the rocker part. The company did send another seat as quickly as possible but, of course, not in time for the birthday.

A GREAT child's rocker
We bought the rocker for our little grand daughter for Christmas. It came in two pieces and required less than 5 minutes to assemble. The pieces fit together with 4 bolts(included). Anybody could assemble this chair. Also it is very sturdy and fits beautifully with her bedroom furniture.

I bought this chair for my two year old for her birthday. We have had one week and it is falling apart! The quality is junk! I wish I would have kept the box so I could return it and get our money back! All I can say is it is NOT worth what you pay for it and should be sold for $5 at most!!

perfect 1st year gift
I just had to let all those Grandparents out there that are looking for the stand out gift.. this is the one! We recently purchased this darling little rocking chair and ottoman for our grand daughters Shelby and Gracie, they both turned 1 this year. It was hands down the best gift ever. Our little girl just loves her own special chair. It is so incredibly adorable and most of all safe and functional. Wide and low to the floor. It is big enough that it will last them well into their 4th year. Be forewarned though, they don't like to share it. :D

Not an "Adult" rocking chair
If you are 5'2'' and 100 lbs this rocking chair may fit you. It is in no-way an adult sized chair. Despite what the specifications say, the seating area is 15.5 inches by 17.5 inches, a very small seating area for any adult. This chair would be useful for children from 6 to 14. If you are looking for an Adult-sized rocking chair, you should look elsewhere.

In addition to the inadequacy of the chair itself, the shipping container was cheap and had many punctures (that had been sealed with tape). Because of these openings, the seat was scratched and the assembly screws were missing. All in all, this is a product to stay away from, unless you are buying for a child/teenager.

i have an old rocking chair in my basement in good condition. I know it's old but not sure how old. it's made out of wood but i'm not sure what kind, it is a darker wood. Sorry that is the best description i can give. Under the seat it says "yugoslavia ix 76" and has some floral designs on the top of the chair were the head would rest. I was wondering is their any value with this chair? thank you

It would almost be easier to build a new chair but here goes.
OK if it is a basic rocking chair you just need to get the swinging hardware and build a base. the problem is that; does the original chair have strong enough legs that when you drill them etc to install the hard ware will it remain strong enough to continue to support weight and keep its structural integrity.
This is hard to explain in words.
If you look at gliders they have the chair with sides/legs that come down to connect to a hanger (Usually metal) that goes back up to a base, and each end of the connection has bearings to let it turn easier.
your just have to build a base that will be big enough and attach the hangers (which would be best to just buy)
to the chair legs.
I cant give more that directional support over typing but if you would like contact me with specifications for the chair and exactly what you want to do with it, and what tools are at your disposal.

How do I stop a rocking chair from sliding?

We have an old-style rocking chair in my daughter's room (solid wood) that I use to rock her in when I put her to bed. Every time I rock in it, it slowly slides until it bumps into the wall. I've tried putting a rug under it to keep it from moving across the carpet, but I'm not sure what else to do. I still want to be able to rock in it, but I'm sick of rocking and then hearing/feeling it hit the wall. Any suggestions?

if you have a rug under, get two strips of felt, cut them a tiny bit smaller than the bottom of the rocking rails (about 1 inch by 14 inches long) use gorilla glue to glue the strips to the bottom of the rails, let dry for at least 24 hrs, then put the chair back on the rug, in should no longer scoot
