Great Item, Helped Immensely
This item is a miracle cure especially for my husband who would NOT get help for his back trouble. He somehow injured his back (shoveling?) before Thanksgiving and walked with a limp because it ached. This went on for 4-6 weeks. Things were getting better but far from 100%. I knew he was adapting to what was wrong with his spine. I knew the spine was out of alignment but there was no telling him what to do. At Christmas I purchased this chair for "us" because I have often dealt with back/neck pain and I heard this helped some people more than a chiropractor. My 5" 11" husband is feeling fabulous, like 99% cured of the lower back pain and getting better all the time. He uses it every morning and some evenings. I has been well worth the money and we will have one forever. This was a small price to pay for the relief it has brought. It is very easy to use, nothing scary or difficult about it. The down side is that I am too small for it (5'3") so my head doesn't hang off when inverted and I don't think I get the full benefit of it. The only reason it didn't get 5 stars is because it doesn't adjust to suit me (sorry.)
Great For The Price, BUT Customer Service is Sub Standard
This Unit Really is worth every penny, BUT ITS BIG, you will need some room, otherwise, with in the first use it works well, takes about 40 mins. or so to put together, weight ratio 300lbs, the chair design is awesome, and the pivot points decrease the space if you wanted to use it close to a wall, good welds and hardware, mine came with the foot bar rusted under the paint, their customer service, is really rude and not too helpful at all, I got mine Jan 12 2010 and still no replacement, they says its back ordered, so I hope to see it soon instead or using the rusted foot rest...

Otherwise I highly recommend this unit I got mine with free shipping, which is great, considering it weighs about 85lbs, you will have to down load the manual, cause it does not come with any, but its pretty simple, it adjusts to 6'6" tall to 5' or so my Wife is 5'2" & I'm 6' and we both use a common setting, it has a belt adjuster that will give you a range of motion up to 120 degrees or so, you don't go completely upside down, my buddy tried it and he is thin so I had to help him rotate upside down and hold him there, otherwise, you can do this all by your self with out a spotter...

Ours backs feel so much better, much to our chiropractor's despair.

Marcy IVT 854 inversion chair
I ordered this inversion chair from Amazon, it came with free shipping which is what I selected, from the day I ordered it to the day it arrived was exactly 8 days, delivered by UPS. The box was in pretty bad shape, it had 2 straps holding it closed originally apparently and one of the straps had broke from it so it was only being held together with one strap which allowed one end of the box to open. Luckily all the pieces were still in the box and each piece was individually wrapped in it's own plastic covering. The small assembly items like screws and bolts were in a well wrapped package. Every piece was there but we were missing 2 of the round flat washers which was not a big deal we had some we were able to use. It is a heavy box about 85 lbs.
It suggest in the manual to have 2 people available to do the assembly and that is a good idea, there are a couple of instances where it took 2 of us to handle the large sections. Assembly is fairly straight forward, the manual could be better but it got the job done. It took about an hour to assemble it, it does come with a little wrench and allen wrenches.
This unit is very sturdy and well made, the base is rock solid and footprint measures about 45x27. Luckily both of us are about the same height so setting the foot attachment does not have to be altered, however it is adjustable. There is a webbed belt type strap that goes under the unit from the front near the feet, under the chair around a bolt bracket and back down to an upright piece from the base, it has a bolt that connects the strap to that metal upright, that strap has an adjustment slider on it, this is what adjusts the amount of inversion the chair will do. Left as it came which is full length the chair inverts quite a bit, not a full 90 degrees I would say it looks like 70 degrees.
There is a seat belt attached to the back of the chair that goes around the waist, it has a slider adjustment. The closure for the seat belt is hard plastic that you push in on each side to release it (like on dog collars), it is extremely difficult for me to undo that closure once it is locked. I have arthritis in my hands and I had to have someone come help me open it. I am glad it is very secure but it does make getting in and out a problem for me.

The foot area is very comfortable and did not hurt my ankles, I do wear lace up sneakers when I use it as is advised with all inversion equipment. It does lock down on the ankles very securely. The seat is pretty high so having the little step up at the bottom of the foot area is very helpful for mounting and dismounting. Mounting and dismounting the actual unit is very easy and can be done alone.

The thing that I did not realize is that it does not maintain a seated position as you begin to invert, you start out sitting in it just as you would a chair, as you begin to lean back and invert, the bottom seat is on a slider which slides with you as you flip so that when you are fully inverted you are virtually laying flat as if you were laying in bed. I thought it would maintain the chair position. So when fully inverted to it's full extent you look like you are on an inversion table. I will take some pictures and add to the pictures here on Amazon. I think that would be helpful to see it actually in an inverted position.

I am extremely happy with this inversion chair, it has been very easy to assemble, and use. I have some pretty severe compression issues in my lower back which I under go decompression therapy for on a scheduled basis. This chair will allow me to do some of the decompression here at home on a daily basis.
I can definitely feel the difference in my back when I use it. Not an over night change but done on a regular basis definitely a good addition to my therapy. I would definitely recommend this chair to anyone interested in inversion therapy.

The chair does not have any instruction on how to use it at all so my advice would be to watch some of the videos that are available through you-tube and Google and read up on how to use inversion therapy so you know how to start out and how long you can stay inverted. I definitely would advise talking to your doctor before beginning especially if you have medical conditions, there are special cautions for those with high blood pressure and heart conditions. Do the research and start out slow, be safe and you will enjoy the benefits.
I got mine and am using it daily!
I saw this model in a catalogue and googles it up. I wanted it the minute I found out about it, and called the local store to see if I could get it that day. Unfortunately, the employees had never heard of it, so I decided to get it site to store. It arrived that week, took just over 2 hours for us to assemble it, but that was watching tv at the same time. The instruction manual could use an upgrade on the schematics, but otherwise everything was easily understandable and easy to assemble.

Here is what it has over the other types. The base is rock solid. There was no need for any assistance to get into or out of the device. It only goes 65 degrees, but that was a real selling point for me. I have high blood pressure, ocassionaly, and not going 90 degrees is less stress on my cranium. Starting and ending in a siting position is also a consideration for me at my age. I noticed the difference in my neck immediately. The lower back is adjusting gradually, but it's been a problem for years, so I wasn't expecting a quick fix there. I would reccomend this product to anyone wanting to decompress the stress on their lumbar area. I also read some reviews that stated it's great for abs.

The footprint is approximately 3 square feet. It does not fold up for storage.

Customer Reviews

Great Chair!
My wife and I started to look for inversion chairs after a doctor of ours recommended them over the inversion tables. After receiving the chair I was amazed at how easy it was to assemble. It was probably the easiest and fastest straight from the box assembly I have ever had to deal with. Light weight and little effort needed to move from room to room if needed. The chair provides a good stretch without putting pressure or strain on the back. The only thing that I can complain about is that the chair should have a locking mechanism when in the seated position so entering and exiting the chair was not so awkward.
Awesome!
I tried an inversion table a few years ago and didn't like the feeling of my ankles being pulled out of their sockets. I was so happy to see that an inversion CHAIR existed! I ordered it and I am THRILLED! I use it every day, twice a day. It has really helped relieve much of my pain.
It was delivered to my door the day after I ordered it. :)
The only thing that was a small problem was that the directions had me put together the whole thing and then had me take apart part of it to put covers on. Not a big deal though.
I recommend this to anyone who suffers from back pain.
Good value, but beware of unclear assembly instructions.
The chair is very helpful for my back and seems very sturdy. I like that you are supported by your knees instead of hanging from your ankles like you do on other inversion tables/chairs. It seems like a good value for a reasonable amount of money. It is a little tricky getting onto and off of it but it is possible for one person to mount it alone. I wish that adjusting the angle of inversion was a little easier. It has a strap that you have to lengthen or shorten and it is tricky getting the exact angle you want. If you have more than one person using the chair the strap is a hassle to change. We ended up adding an extra hook on a piece of chain. For a lesser angle you hook the strap directly to the chair. For a greater angle you hook the strap into the the chain instead and then attach the second hook to the chair.
The other part that bothered me was problems with the instructions. One of the steps was out of order and other parts weren't too clear. Do not screw on the handles before you put the protective hoods over the brackets they attach to otherwise you will have to unscrew the handles again to put the hoods on. Also, be careful how you attach the main seat to the frame. There is a stop bar on the back of the frame that can interfere with the rotation of the chair if you don't do it right. Check the rotation of the chair before putting any screws in the pivot bracket.
Great Chair Better Price
I originally ordered the Stamina Deluxe Seated Inversion Therapy Table, a more expensive product. It was damaged in shipping and Amazon was out of stock, so I decided to try this chair.

I am glad the first chair was damaged. This chair is easy to assemble, easy to use and easy to take apart if you need to move. It is heavy duty and high quality.

My wife has scoliosis. She is a small woman, tiny by today's standards. She uses this chair all by herself for relief and loves it.

    The Massage is wonderful however-
The first time I used my new Inversion Massage Chair the massage continued to vibrate after turning off the power button. I had to unplug the cushion from the power outlet to stop the vibration. I returned the cushion for a replacement. It took twenty four days to receive a new one. I am also disappointed in the Easy Lock Levers which hold the chair in desired sitting positions. They easily loose their grip if you move in the chair. This causes the chair to fall forward. Also the right Lever seldom works. The Adjustable Footrest is awkward to adjust however it does stay in place once positioned.
    Workable but one flaw
I read all the reviews and I wondered if I did something wrong in assembling. Everything works like it should except the leg rest actually doesn't want to stay up. That's the only complaint I have with it so far. Everything else works great!
    Welcome Relief for Homebound Invalid
My sister is an invalid who sadly spends most of her day "lounging" in a chair. Comfort is critical. This chair replaced a previous cheaper "anti-gravity" chair that had worn out. (The vinyl cushioning was compressed and duct-taped after about four years usage.) I am impressed with the solid construction and overall quality. Requires building - which could be daunting for people who aren't handy. Also, the chair is heavy so I recommend building it where it's to be used. (I learned the hard way when I had to carry it up a long flight of stairs single-handedly!) Time will tell if it holds up but for the price, it's a very good value.
    Better than expected
I LOVE this chair! It's so much better than I expected! It's extremely comfortable, easy to put together. Also, the padding is perfect. I don't feel any bars in my back and I don't have any trouble adjusting the position of the chair. For me, it works kind of like an inversion table...I raise my arms above my head and the chair tilts backward. If I want it to tilt even further back, I simply raise my knees a little and then lock it into place. Also, the heat and vibration are incredible! I usually don't like vibration health-devices...but this one is GREAT! This chair offers a choice of different patterns and speeds for the vibration and it goes all the way up the back and down each leg. This is now my favorite piece of furniture in my house. I Highly recommend it. If you order one, I hope you're as happy with it as I am with mine. :)
Tony Little's Inversion Massage Recliner w/heat
I have the older version of this chair, when my son decided to use it as a landing pad at the bottom of the steps, 4 of the 12 motors stopped working. In a panic, I set out to find a replacement because there is no info out there to be able to fix them. I found the newer updated version of the chair. The new version didn't look as sturdy as the older version and had 2 less motors, so I didn't know how well I would like it. The shipping took longer than expected, only because of the weather, it was to be delivered during a blizzard! The box that it came in was around 65 lbs, and it was pretty easy to put together. The only problem was 2 of the washers were fused together. I had the chair put together in about 30 minutes, and I'm a woman! When I sat in the chair for the first time, I was pleasantly surprised, the chair is 100x more comfortable than the old version. I read the reviews regarding the foot rest, but the older version had the same issues. You are really unable to lift it up, when your in the air. Also like the older version, the left lever doesn't work, I think it's just a flaw in the product, as the older one's left side didn't work at all either. I use this chair daily, the heater on this chair vs. the older chair works 10x better. All in all, it's a blessing in disguise that my son broke my older one, because now I have a better more comfortable chair. The old one still works, however only the back motors work. If you need a full body massage, and don't want to pay big bucks for a chair, I would totally recommend this chair. It's certainly worth the money. Just wish the price was this low when I purchased it 3 weeks ago!

    Above Expectations!!!
This product is fabulous. It has exceeded my expectations 10 fold. It was the best price, with other selling for up to $100! I had to stop doing the headstand pose some months ago because it was adversely affecting my neck. A few times on this device and the neck problem is gone and I'm back feeling great, the way I did before I had to stop. I'm 59 years old and plan to use it as part of my daily yoga routine for the rest of my life, and it appears to be built to last at least that long. Highly recommended!!!! Healthcare Yoga Lift Relaxation Station
    solid but needed to resize
Like other reviewers, I believe this to be the same item sold by others for a much higher price. This product is solid and well built. I am 5' 6" and weigh 140 lbs. The chair easily holds me, and the hand grips are well-positioned; however, the span for my shoulders is a little bit too wide for my liking. As is, the chair supports me by the heads of my shoulder bones taking all the weight of my inversion. I was able to narrow the opening (i.e., the inside of the horseshoe) by cutting up an old yoga mat and wrapping it around the horseshoe and securing it with duct tape. The "project" took me a couple of hours, and looks better than you might imagine. The end result is wonderful. I have additional support and padding. It is possible to reupholster the cushion to fit to size, but I am very happy with my home-made remedy. BTW. Here are two you tube videos to watch to help you decide if this is the right purchase for you [...]
    Such a Deal!
I am pretty sure that this headstand chair is identical to the one I saw in a catalog (minus the elastic bands that I would have never used) for $109. I just got it and am still building up my "upside down tolerance" but so far I find it plenty sturdy, safe and comfortable. I am so glad I order this one and not a more expensive one that appears to be the exact same thing. I was first going to get an inversion board but again, I'm happy I order this handy item instead. It provides the same benefits plus the added bonus of strengthening the core and balance. Received it in under a week from All4less.
    Yoga teacher's students love it!
I am a yoga studio owner and a yoga teacher who teaches 13 classes each week. I have had a lift in the studio for approx. 2 years. It has become so popular with my students that I am back for another. And two of my students (one a PT) want one of their own! Some people have a fear of inversions or are worried about their necks. This is a wonderful tool, up against a wall, to teach the engagement of the legs, which is a necessary part of headstand and protects the neck if used correctly.
    Great Yoga Workout!!!!
Great Product!!!! can't say more about it....well built and very stable. I have difficulty doing headstands on my own so, buying this product was the best investment. It really helped me in overcoming my fear of being upside down....I use this everynight to get the benefits of it. Also helps you develop strong shoulders without compromising it. Great buy! you won't be dissapointed!

Scotland beat Norway and Croatia to earn showdown with Denmark

The eight-urgent Scotland collaborate got off to a fine start on Saturday with a 5-0 win over Norway in their Collect 1 opener.

Mauchline virtuoso Emma cook teamed up with new companion Edward Cogliano won their doubles look-alike.

Cogliano was a overdue vreplacement for another Mauchline trouper, Gregor McVean, who was phoney out of the competition by tonsilitis.

Bank of Scotland Under 19 defender and UK School Games title-holder Kirsty Gilmour and Matthew Carder won their singles then Gilmour and Caitlin Pringle, Carder and Lewis Gallacher and lately replacement Edward Cogliano and Emma Cook took the doubles contests. Scotland won all their matches in tidy games.

On Monday Scotland had a tougher conflict against Croatia but once again Gilmour got them off to a conquering start.

Teeth of Carder losing his singles, Scotland took a winsome 3-1 direct when Bank of Scotland Under 19 women's doubles winners Pringle and Cook took their altercation and Carder and Gallacher won the boys' doubles.

Josh Neil and Rebekka Findlay disoriented the final connected doubles but the three Scots wins were again achieved in unambiguously games in a 3-2 crushing.

Denmark won both their bunch matches against Croatia and Norway 5-0.

The duo event will be followed on Thursday by the unitary events.

Have you ever tried an inversion table or chair? If so, what do you think of it?

My boyfriend has really bad back pain and I'm interested in getting an inversion table or chair for him. I want to know which was are durable (he is a big guy) and if anyone has found relief in using these products.

I injured my neck and ended up with a bruise on my spine. The neurosurgeons wanted to do surgery. I tried acupuncture and a inversion table. That was 5 years ago. I bought mind off ebay at considerable savings. Inversion tables can be set at any angle. You don't have to hang completely upside down. Start slow with feet slightly higher than your head and then progress daily or weekly until your are completely inverted. The most difficult thing to get use to is the blood rushing to your head. After a few days it will feel good. You will be able to feel your spine relax and stretch. Its beats the knife.

what is he difference between a zero gravity chair and an inversion table?
