My son loves this bunkbed
We purchased this loft bed for our early-teen son, he loves it. The futon size was hard to match, we got one too wide and thick, but it is working out as a lounge, not chair. It took a while to assemble, but was not hard, we all helped and it was done in a couple of hours. Our son was very happy with it, it suits his purpose and age, and will take him through his teen years. We would recommend it to anyone.

Bunk review
This product was difficult to put together with the "tools" provided. The futon mattress was very hard to find and is not sold with the unit. THe bottom futon is not for everyday use. The futon is thin and difficult to find a cover for. Top bunk and desk are a great combo. Ok for one child not ok for two.

well made, but could use more slats
This futon frame is pretty well made, and not too hard to put together even though I am not that handy with tools. I did use a power tool to put the screws in, and there were naturally quite a few. Without the power tool it undoubtably would have been harder to do. The directions were good, though, so there weren't any terribly muddled moments during the assembly. The assembled frame is sturdy and is pretty easy to put into recliner mode. I just wish that there were more slats, because my all-cotton futon tends to follow the dips between the slats which isn't too comfortable for sleeping. I put an inexpensive closed cell mat between the futon and the frame to help with that.

This is the one to get!
I did extensive research looking for an inexpensive, quality twin-size futon frame. I like the fact that this frame does not have slat ends sticking out on either side (the construction is very clean). I couldn't be happier with the frame. It is extremely high quality - especially for the price. I was happy to get it unfinished so I could finish it to go with my decor. It is easy to assemble, has great conversion options - chair/lounge/bed. They shipped it within the week. I'm thrilled.

This item is exceptional for the price. It is sturdy, looks good and comfortable. It is a little bulk when changing it's variety of multiple positions than I would like but then what futon isn't. After all your dealing with moving a small mattress around.

A definite hit with the kiddies
My toddler granddaughter and niece couldn't get enough of playing in and on this neat little seat. It was everything we hoped for and more. So far, seems to be plenty sturdy and kid worthy. Toddler sized
We bought this for our 4 year old niece to sleep on during a two week visit. While the quality seems good, it is very small it is working for us but barely she is small for her age but this is barely long enough.

Great chair/sleeper for toddler room
This children's studio chair/couch sleeper is perfect for my toddler grandson. He loves to sit in it, but especially enjoys opening it up for a bed and then takes pride because he can close it back up again. The chair is low, but most adults can sit in it too for story time. The denim is a good choice as it doesn't show stains. It's lightweight and easy to move around. I'm having difficulty finding sheets to fit it so haven't used it for a sleepover yet. All around, a good bargain!!

Does anyone know a good source on line or in California for heavy duty (translation kid and pet resistant) futon covers?
The Futon and chair are Mission Style and I am looking for a heavy weight tapestry in a William Morris type print like the futon cover LLBean has on their futon ( unfortunately they do not have a matching chair cover.
Thanks for any and all help!
I should add that although I am a really good seamstress, I am in between sewing machines so making the covers is not an option at this time. Thank's for the good idea though krissyde.

Have you considered making your own (or have someone make it for you if you are not so inclined).
They have many great stain resistant tapestry fabrics available and you can pick whatever suits you. It would be a simple project.

Slip covers are easy to make yourself just with some pins, fabric and a sewing machine. You basically just cut out the shapes you want to cover from fabric, pin them in place, then go around your pin joints with the sewing machine. You turn it inside out and BAM, you got a slip cover. If you dont want to do this... you can go to basically any large chain store like WalMart, Target, Bed Bath and Beyond... etc to find premade slip covers for furniture. However, I think its always more rewarding and more fitting your decor to make your own
