    Not happy with this chair
Buy this chair only if you have never experienced a higher quality kneeling chair. I am 5'4in. and the balls of my feet rest on the floor. Not good. In fact this negates the entire concept of the kneeling chair. Just get a stool- or a regular chair. If I make the seat higher, my foot still rests on the floor (the knee portion does not raise) and I have to sit on the edge of the seat if the knees are to make contact with the knee portion of the chair- not comfortable and not healthy and anyway, my feet still rest on the floor. This chair is definitely not worth the money unless you want to sit with your feet on top of the kneeling cushion. You might find that comfortable.

Oh, and the directions. Six gold colored screws are not shown in the directions, nor are the wooden coverings for the lever. Look at the picture on Amazon and not at the directions to see how the lever goes.

    What they don't tell you...
The cushions are 2 1/2" thick and are filled with a stiff pad that is perfect for a kneeling chair. The wood frame is 1 1/2" oak that is finished very well. The frame "legs" are 1 3/4" rounded oak and come attached to the frame. The casters are plastic with a bolt end that you screw into metal inserts in the legs. The center brace, that goes from the bottom knee support frame to the top seat frame, is actually the height adjustment mechanism which is made out of thick metal and is covered with a 2 piece hollowed out oak dowel. It's basically a very large bolt with a threaded cap on both ends. One cap is attached to the top frame and the other is attached to the bottom frame. If you want the chair higher, turn the metal ring (which is the center of the bolt) counter clockwise. As you make the seat higher, the frame pivots at at the center point. Which means not only will the seat get higher, but it will also draw the cushions closer together and at a greater pitch. It works well and makes this chair very solid. It comes with all the hardware you need. The instructions are not the best but you can figure it out. The weight limit is 200 lbs. And it is made in Taiwan.
Well made, comfortable but assembly directions are poorly written
Well constructed and comfortable chair, perfect for a computer station or desk. The assembly direction are very sketchy and could be better written. Actually there are no written directions only a diagram. I assembled chair only to find out that I assembled one part backwards and had unscrew everything and re-assemble the chair. If they had given directions that said, "point two hole downward," I would have saved 20 minutes.
    Great, once assembled.
Like the product very much. Works perfectly for my needs, solid and looks good. A bit challenging to assemble, but not as bad as Christmas presents for children!
    Very Comfortable
Just got the chair and, so far, it is comfortable and sturdy. My complaint, as stated above, is a lack of directions for assembly - it isn't brain surgery but some written directions would be helpful. For the money - a bargain!

Solid, roomy chair, sturdy, 3 levels of adjustment.
I've only had it for a few days but pretty happy with the purchase. I got it on sale for ~$110 and think that's a steal. It's not as soft and comfy like a $500 executive chair but if anyone expects that at this price they're crazy. But for a computer chair in the $1xx range it's excellent. Very sturdy design, very easy to put together, and very roomy. If you're big and tall you won't feel cramped at all.

The most interesting aspect of this chair, especially given its price point, was the 3 levers to adjust height, and two angles of incline. You can recline the back piece as well as the seat, and of course height. When I'm at my computer I put the back more upright, and when I'm turned to face my TV to play PS3 or just relax I recline the back. I have an awful habit of leaning back in my chairs which often results in the backpiece breaking. I'm hoping since this chair is designed to be reclined that this won't happen.

The padding is very firm. It's not a chair you sink into. Yet it's still comfortable and supportive. The back mesh makes an odd crackling noise when you get up from sitting in it for a while but I'm hoping that's just because it's new and not broken in. The armrests are a typical weak point in any chair. I'm not convinced these will be any different. There's no immediate indications that they're overly weak, but they're not quite as sturdy as the rest of the chair is.

Overall it's a great chair for the price and I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one.
    Very nice chair
I spend a lot of time on the computer and needed a new chair in the worst way. This chair is very comfortable, designed for 'the long haul' sitters. It is fully adjustable .... sets for seat height, seat angle, back to seat angle, and back height and lean tension. The lumbar support is good without being obtrusive. The arms are comfortable and adjust for height and width individually. Construction is very heavy (think industrial). This chair looks like it will last ten or more years easily. I'm very happy with my investment.
    High Back Mesh Ergo Chair
Okay. I bought this chair because of the good reviews, here on Amazon, and the price. The only thing I was leery about, was the "High Back Mesh" part. When I think of "mesh", I think of Herman Miller mesh, open, with air flow. I had this on my old chair, but the padding on the seat was pretty thin, and if I sat in it for more than an hour, I'd get pretty sore. Anyway, this chair has a much thicker seat, but the back, while being high(which is good!), was solid, and would get pretty hot after a short while. So, I switched the backs on the two chairs, and "Problem Solved!". I've got the old back on the new seat, and as an extra bonus, the arms of the new chair work, as well. I couldn't use the arms on the old chair. Ultimately, I'm happy with my purchase, even though I ended up modifying it, which is why I only gave it 3 stars.
Good is good cheap is expensive- not comfortabe in any way
Easy to assemble. Took about 15 minutes. Not comfortable at all. I have learned an important lesson, even though this chair looks good it is very cheaply made and for the price I paid $144 it's a rip off. Most important you need to sit in a chair and feel it out before you buy one. I am very disappointed with this chair. My old one is much more comfortable than this one and I can't return it so I plan to give it away.
    Love at first seat
Easy to setup except that the arm rests weren't marked with which way to put them. It would have saved ten minutes. But if you have assembled chairs before, this should be a cake walk. I had no prior experience ;)

Very comfortable to work sitting on this chair. Worth the penny you pay for.

The fabric is a little harsh on my skin but I don't like leather chairs. So I guess I can bear that.

I would have given it a 5 but for the fabric and a missing instruction for setup.

Just buy it.You won't regret it. I am very happy with this chair.

This and some exercise cured my back
I had some compression in my back between L4 and L5, and slouching in my chair at work was the main cause. Basically as I understand it, when you slouch in your chair it does several things, it stretches some ligaments that should not be stretched and it causes you back muscles to work harder when you lift. Since most of us do not get enough upper body exercise, even if you run or bike daily that does not work your "core muscles" as my PT put it, then your back takes the full brunt of the lifting causing the soft discs to compress unnaturally. I started looking for solutions to prevent the slouching and came upon this chair, it has been great for my back, although you can still use bad posture the chair make me at least notice it faster.

I was worried since this chair seemed inexpensive, but it seems very solid and well designed. In reality there is not a lot of physical material in the chair steel, casters, plywood, memory foam and some material so it may be inexpensive because it's easy to manufacture.

Get this chair and the Robin McKenzie books and you could be on your way to a pain free back.
Strong in theory, weak on performance
I was looking for a kneeling chair that would help me with back and neck pain as I have two disc injuries and some neck discomfort from sitting at a computer. The chair is soft, made with a tempurpedic-like material, which was fairly comfortable to sit on, however the fabric was rough and in shorts it was an uncomfortable.

The chair itself doesn't adjust low enough on the angle for me, so it bothered my neck a great deal, and did put stress on my lower back and aggravated my discs. I sold it after using it for a little bit. So... Positives: light weight, easy to assemble, and might work for those without structural injuries. Negatives: fabric rough on skin, angles may be too extreme for someone with neck or back injuries, wasn't able to sit in it for more than 15 minutes without issues.
    Could be better
The material of this chair are very good and the whole thing is sturdy. unfortunately for me it is not as comfortable as other knee chairs i have used. i am 5 feet 6 and it seems that it was designed for taller people since when i raise it to improve the angle between knees and torso i end up way too high in regards to the desk. the geometry is a bit off.
    So far so good!
I just got this chair today and I am impressed enough to write a review already.

The cushions are nice and thick.

The assembly was easy (took me approx 20 minutes and they provide everything you need).

    The chair is sturdy.

    It looks nice.

    Rolls well.

And most importantly, my back already feels better!
    Best of the worst
I bought this chair as I have two herniated discs, so sitting in a regular chair causes shooting pains after about 20 minutes. In this regard, the chair has been great. I can now sit for much longer at my desk, whereas before I was standing with a table on top of my desk. The chair is a better quality than the picture makes it look. I was worried it would be very cheap in construction, but it's actually thicker and more stable than it appears.

With that said the drawbacks are not huge. One, it's pretty ugly. Having moved from an Eames office chair to this chair at my desk my wife informed me it will be put away when people come over. Second is the memory foam. As others have noted, it seems to be insufficiently dense for the knees. So after not so long sitting you'll find your knees pushing onto the metal (keep in mind, I'm 6" and 195lbs). Third is you really exchange the points of dis-comfort. Now I find my butt gets quickly sore.

All in all, best one I found on Amazon or otherwise and a great price compared to what I saw in the stores for 3x the price.

    So-so office chair
Ok, I guess all office chairs are not made the same. Seems to me this thing feels kinda cheaply made, and I've owned a few different leather office chairs. There was a small tear in leather on arrival. Padding on seat seems really thin and like I already need a pillow on the chair after just a week and a half of ownership. Screw covers constantly pop out and need to be put back in. Saw another chair at a big box store that was nicer for half the price. Kind of regretting this item being mine....oh well. Couldn't really recommend it, and as for being ergonomic...phhhhht, they just say that to get you to buy this one as opposed to all the other vanilla office chairs.
    Office Chair.
I had this chair for a few weeks now & I'm very satisfied with it so far. It's a fairly comfortable chair that's easy to assemble & is just the right size for me. I wasn't sure about the size of the chair before I bought it, but it fits perfectly in my room at my computer desk. Now that I have a chair like this, I wish I bought one of these a long time ago. The chair I used before was also fairly comfortable, but it couldn't swivel & didn't have a height adjuster. Overall this is a good chair for the price. I recommend it.
Nothing fancy but serves it's purpose
Chair isn't as comfortable as I expected. It is'nt bad but niether is it spectacular. Price I found to be median for the quality.
    Held up for seven years
I've owned this chair for about seven years now, and it's still held up strong. Ridiculously comfortable, the wheels work well -- just be careful if you're on carpet and use a plastic chair mat.

One thing I wish is that it had more than one setting for the lean-back so you had a choice between "no lean" and "full lean" but honestly it works out great regardless. I usually stop my lean by putting my knees under my desk and that turns out to be a pretty good position.

I've never had the arm-snap problem that others are talking about, but I only weigh 150 pounds and don't lean back very often. If you weigh much more than me, do not buy!
    Great Chair
Easy to assemble. Very sturdy. Received it very fast. Love it. Great for the price(got it for $99 half price)

    Music Prep Ergonomics, Part 1

A while back, I was asked by a reader to lecture the issue of ergonomics and studio setup for the electronic musician, a relationship which takes in most of us these days. This of inquiry has two fundamental areas of woolly: (1) conclusion the most comfortable, harm-free setup to get the job done, and (2) maximizing adeptness by cutting all at once wasted on repeated tasks. Ergonomic strategies be abundant for the digital composer/grower/engineer, but orchestration and music copying carries shed weight different demands which good additional bull session.

I once had the misfortune to separation a disk in my neck due to the mammoth music prep workload for the music performed by the Atlanta Symphony for the unscathed opening and closing ceremonies of the ‘96 Summer Olympics. The covenant of that job required that we do it all by give out, and I worked for 36 days without a condition, 8-10 hours a day. In spite of our usual precautions of slanted tabulation-tops, gear posture, barely acceptable lighting, etc., I still found myself about a week later conducting a recording conference with a right arm that was growing more sluggish by the moment. The quick of the summary was that 36 days of being locked into a fix had caused the muscles in my neck to motivate and spasm, pulling it out of state enough to rupture a disk, with consequent discomfort and diminished grit flow. Fortunately, most such neck problems tone down and work their way out in several months. (Mine did.) The upright of that story is that too much of anything, even exertion, isn’t inexorably a good reaction.

What is the best low-cost ergonomic office chair for lower back pain?

I have serious lower back pain with two dehyrdrated discs in the lumbar. I also have an office job. Sitting is absolutely killing me. I'm in physical therapy, but I'm hoping an ergonomic chair might help some too. Unfortunately I need to buy my own chair, and I can't really pop for an Aeron. We just have your typical swivel, up/down task chairs. Does anyone have a suggestion for a sub-500(400 would be even better) ergo task chair?

Dehydrated Discs are part of the normal aging process. As you are already in Physiotherapy, then ask the Physiotherapist to refer you to a Occupational Therapist and they will first measure you up for a chair and then recommend a place where you can purchase one. As for cheap chair, no such thing. However you can buy chair supports but again you need to ask PT or OT for the best type for your problem. Best of Luck

Certainly the chair you have at the moment will be doing your back no favors at all. You should be able to get a suitable chair for $400 - $500 budget you mention. It’s very important that the chair has certain basic adjustment functions, this article explains what you need http://www.officechairadvice.com/ergonomic/best/what_is_an_ergonomic_chair.html

If you look at some of the chairs reviewed under the best ergonomic chairs section at http://www.officechairadvice.com it will give you ideas for suitable models.

Any recommendation for a good ergonomic chair for low back pain?

I'm 35 y/o, male, tried almost 4 ergonomic chairs but none seem to fit their supposed claims. I have tried Accord motion chair, knee "sitting" chair, aeron's, H miller. I don't have a back problem based on MRI. Just plain problem in ergonomics. Any suggestions?

If you can get hold of one (and afford one- they're not cheap!), I'd highly recommend the Bambach Saddle Seat. They're absolutely wonderful

They do take a bit of getting used to, but once you are used to it you'll never go back to sitting in a regular chair. Can't praise them highly enough!

Can anyone in the UK recommend a really good ergonomic chair without arms for me to work at my computer on?

i have trouble sitting up straight, my posture is bad, so i'm going to get a negative tilt keyboard and mouse stand, i've highered my monitor to eye height and now i just need a really good ergonomic chair!

    thanks for your help

What's the best ergonomic office chair?

I've spent countless hours of researching for the best ergonomic office chair online, because there isn't any stores around my location to take any for a test run.

    From your personal opinion...

What's the best ergonomic office chair?

The Leap chair is excellent. Only those with serious physical problems find them uncomfortable. I work with these chairs all the time, doing office ergonomics as a profession

Where can I get a good ergonomic chair for working on the computer?

I work on the computer at home a lot, also where can I get a good ergonomic mouse too ... oh I have a mac.
