Not a good choice
Bought in April '09. In less than a year, I noticed yesterday that the top is dry rotted and ripped. It has been in the NJ elements for 10 months, but I would have expected a longer life than this. Also, it is water repellent, not water proof. I often found my chair pillows very wet after rain. My next cover will be more of a plastic type than this cloth material. This seems to be a better cover if your chairs will be in the garage - or at least under an awning or in the shade.

Higher quality than expected; you should be aware that there are small color variations between this beige and covers for other furniture that are not apparent from the online pictures. One suggestion: Screw eyes in deck to hold the tiedowns in face of strong winter winds.

Not worth the money.
This seat cover is not worth buying because it only has two chair leg ties at the front and not the back. When you sit down on it, it slides off the seat constantly from the back. Sure the cover looks nice, but its a headache to keep situated on the chair as you sit on it. Save your money, don't buy.

A must if you have children!
Being a mom of two toddlers, I covered my dining room chairs with the plastic chair covers but hated how uncomfortable they were to sit on. I found these and put them over the plastic covers, so that the chairs would still be protected from saturated spills. This works great! The chairs look beautiful and I know that with the plastic cover underneath, they are protected. They are much more comfortable to sit on with bare legs, no sticking. My girls can sit on their knees and don't complain. The burgundy is a true burgundy, not red like it looks in the picture. Very nice.

Finally a real solution!
My seat covers arrived today and I couldn't wait to get one on to try it out. I was instantly pleased with my purchase. I've spent the last year fighting those vinyl tie-on covers to protect our cloth seats from our young children's (3 yrs old and 1 yr old) spills and messes. The vinyl covers have saved us a handful of times, but they're a hassle because they don't stay in place and the vinyl straps break off, leaving the covers to fall off the chairs constantly. On top of that, my 1-year-old likes to sit under the chairs and chew on the vinyl - not a good thing. Anyway, I positioned my old vinyl covers so they can protect my chairs from wet spills and attached these seat covers over top of the vinyl covers. The cloth covers hold the vinyl in place and they actually stay put on the chair. Now I have covers that don't look so tacky and will be effective (with the vinyl under layer) at staying in place and protecting my chairs. I also love that they're machine washable - thank you!! At long last we have seat covers that look nice AND are effective!

i will buy again
I bought these to protect my dining chair seats from kid spills. Prior to this, I tried padded tie-on seat cushions but those made the chairs too high. I also tried vinyl seat covers but my kids and I found them uncomfortably hot and sticky. These cloth seat covers are the ones I like the best. They cover the seats quite well, absorb small spills, and stay in place because of the little ties and the velcro strap in the back. They don't fit my chairs perfectly, but the material has a little bit of stretch so they fit well enough to look decent. I put them on for regular use, and take them off when we have company. I've washed them twice so far and they seem to be standing up reasonably well. I put a square of waterproof pad underneath (the kind of fabric used for a crib mattress pad) to prevent larger spills from leaking through to the seat cushion.

Took a chance and won
I was reluctant to purchase this chair cover because the dimensions in the description are so sketchy, but I took a chance on it and it fits! My chairs are big and bulky, 31" wide, 30" deep, and 35" high (from floor to top). This chair cover fits them perfectly, and even has a little extra room. An Exceptional Outdoor Chair Cover
I purchased four of these covers for my high-back outdoor swivel chairs and am very pleased with them, just as I was very pleased with earlier purchases of a cover for my outdoor glidder, which measures 51" long by 31" wide, and for my round table and chair set. The covers appear to be made of a durable, high-quality material, and their neutral pebble color blends perfectly with my residence. Before purchasing these items, I read most of the customer reviews on Amazon.com for similar products and, after noting that customers almost universally rated these items highly, decided on them. I think you will find it highly satisfactory, too. One caveat: I note that some customers find it difficult to determine whether the covers are sized properly for their furniture. I was a bit uncertain, too, but decided to take a chance and had no sizing problems with all six covers I ordered. You may want to doubly verify whether the size is satisfactory before ordering.

Patio Furniture Covers
I always thougth written reviews were typically made by the manaufactures and not real users. Well, I am a real consumer and this is my first review. I am doing so as fining a credible high quality patio furniture covers was an impossible task until I found these Veranda covers through Amazon. They are made of high quality material, fit very easily on and off chairs and table and I can see them lasting for years. All the other Brookstone/Plow and Hearth type covers were horrible and never lasted more than 8 months, even though they stated to have warranty they never would make good on. I highly recommend this brand to anyone wanting to protect their investment in outdoor furniture without have to spend hundreds of dollars per season to do so.

Sturdy and weatherproof.
Of course, time will need to tell the long term durability, but the material and workmanship appear excellant. I have similar covers that have stood up well for years. Its a little stiff, and only straps around one front and one back chair leg, but this appears to be adequate after some pretty stormy weather so far.

Great sturdy cover!
This cover arrived quickly and the quality is very good. Must leave my patio furniture outside in winter and northern Michigan gets really cold and snowy. So spring will tell the real story! I'll review it again then, but it sure seems to fit the bill.

It works
The chair covers work. I haven't had them long enough to see how they survive the freezing winter temperatures. The velcro "ties" are only on the front left and right rear of the chair, but they have stayed on so far. I stacked 2 chairs under each cover, but the velcro was only large enough to go around the legs of one chair.

I plan on making some chair covers for a reception next summer. I would like to try to make them myself, but was wondering how many yards it would take for each cover. I want to use cheap white fabric as long as it's not see through.
the chair is a banquet chair kind. like a folding chair but with a higher back thats more rounded than a folding chair.

How do I clean up mold on a chair cover?

I have a computer chair that got a little wet. Now there are some spots on the cover which I suspect is mold. (I can't use bleach as it's a colored cover).
Preferably using products such as detergent, vinegar etc. and not having to buy those expensive furniture cleaners.

If you dropped something recently on the chair it may not be mold but only the stain dried up. Try a regular liquid dish soap or detergent with water in a little pan, wet a washcloth not wringed out too much and give it a good scrub, even pinching the stain to let in the detergent and water seep into the material. Then pinch it as dry as you can and let to dry. If you have any carpets and other furniture that needs cleaning. Renting a Rugdoctor will do alot of good. Its a great upholstery cleaner and rug cleaner. I mean great too. I don't even buy the cleaners they tell you to use in their machines. I use detergent and water. (not too much detergent, capful or less) and it does great. I've never had a complaint from the place I rent it from either and if it hurt the machine you could be sure they could pin it on me because they had a record of who rented it last. You see rugs are a material, somewhat like clothes and so is furniture material, unless its a leather or plastic like material, so its only logical to use detergent on it to clean it because its not like it will get all out of shape because it stays were you clean it, on the floor or on the peice of furniture. Hope the stain comes out.

As a person who owns a party rental company, i may be able to give you some insight. There is a demand to rent anything, especially if you are going to set up and take down. However with your business just doing linens, I would say that you will need to do your own laundry until you can justify contracting them out, or even hiring someone to do them for you. I started out going through a company like what you want to do, I think I was paying a little over 2.00 a chair cover, and then I decided to buy my own for rental purposes, but however now with weddings, and parties I get 8.00 for a table cloth. the money is there just have to go and get it. hope this helps a little for you
