I have a bean bag chair in need of repair. But before anyone can take a look at it, I need to take all the little polystyrene beans out of the bag. Hopefully without them going EVERYWHERE.

I Put the BB into a 45 gal plastic bag upside down and slowly pour the beads into the PL bag as I pull the BB out. I recommend doing this in a bathroom because the bead will be easy to clean up there and not on a carpet. I have a friend that uses his shop vacuum cleaner.

I have 2 bean bags that my kids love to sit on. They're getting pretty flat. I've found websites that sell filling, but don't know if I want to go through with it. Has anybody refilled a bean bag chair? Is it a great big mess?

It's actually easy. Just make sure you buy enough stuffing, empty the bean bags, look for a strategic place to unstitch a gap small enough to drain old stuffing into garbage bag. Use a funnel to pour stuffing in. Restitch the opening and Tada! Don't throw away stuff you still use and can fix. People just have too much to throw away.

My son has a bean bag chair and it's getting a little flat. It is filled with tiny styrofoam beads. I don't have any idea where to find the exact same material. What can I use to restuff the bean bag chair?

You can use shipping peanuts or go to a fabric store and buy the little beads you mentioned...just ask an associate where to find them...our JoAnn keeps them with the pillow forms and styrofoam sheets. I think the shipping peanuts are cheaper though.

i have this new bean bag chair. and it has this horrible new smell. but the stuffing is just foam squares so i cant throw the cover in the wash. and ive used a whole bottle of febreeze on it. 3 weeks later it still smells. what do i do?!?! im desperate.

You could try wiping it with a solution of 1 part white vinegar and three parts water. Vinegar is a great deodorizer. The vinegar smell dissipates as it dries.

Find the seam of the bean bag and make an opening big enough to empty the contents into a huge garbage bag ,wash the cover and refill the bag ,close it by sewing a few stitches, and your chair is now clean!
