Customer Reviews
Be ready to shape it up everyday otherwise it's like a mat
I bought this bean bag because it's so big I can use it instead of a couch in front of our nice living room window and read.
The bag is big, but not really big enough to sleep on as some people say. A young child, like a 5 year old, probably can sleep on it.
When it is first roughed up and expanded to its full size after you unpack, it is like a giant ball. You sit on it, and you realize that you don't sink in as much, so you don't have as much back support as you may want. But I guess some people may like that. You don't want to sink in too much that your knees are tough your mouth.
The biggest drawback of this bean bag is that it will eventually (after a day or two) fall flat, so it looks like a giant thick hamburger. Then when you sit on it, you don't sink at all, almost like a solid bed. You then tend to just lie there and read your book facing down like you do on a bed, and it becomes uncomfortable soon.
You really need to pick the bean bag up and totally rough it up to get the air in and make it into a ball again. But it's so big (and eventually gets dusty), you just don't want to do it very time you want to use it.
Eventually we found a good use for it which is quite unexpected. The staircase in our home is very wide, wide enough for the bean bag to easily roll downstairs. A few times my boys rolled it down for fun and then they had to push it back up. Since it's so big, it takes a lot of effort. This gave a mom who always worries about her kids not doing enough exercises some ideas. Now whenever it's too hot or too cold for the kids to go outside to do sports, I just ask them to push the bean bag up and down the stairs 5 to 10 times. Even my 11 year old can do it himself, but he will break a sweat. What's even better, every time after they roll the bags, my bag is all puffy and spongy again and I can sit in it and actually read.
I guess it's not a bad purchase after all.

I just love it
I just got my chair today, I must say I was a little worried after reading the other reviews but I took a chance and orderd it anyway. Boy what a nice surprise!! Its really big, I am a photographer and I needed a big chair of this type to prop newborns on, its perfect. The only very very slight smell it had was that of foam rubber...I orderd it because its made of foam rubber and not styrofoam so the super slight smell of rubber when I opened the pkg was not a problem. I could not smell anything after a few minutes and it was never an offensive smell. I dont care to open the zipper so I cant report on that but the outside cover is perfect for what I need. You can see it propping up babies at [...] I will tell anyone that asks to order this item, its great!

Smell
My 2 cents is that I think the bag is a great idea and at a good price comparable to other products. My sole problem is the smell. The first night I used it, it was very comfortable and I fell asleep in it. The problem is that I woke up in the middle of the night literally nauseous and about to throw up. I had to move out of the room to make the nausea go away. That's my only complaint is that they could / should have taken the time to wash the smell out of the shredded foam before they put it in the bag. Hopefully over time the smell will dissipate...does anyone have any feedback on whether the smell will go away over time? I sure hope so.

very big chair!
The chair is great, my kids really like it and its pretty comfy, and its very big. We bought 2, not at the same time, and the first one we recieved is perfect, its big and fluffy just the way its suppose to be, the second one is o.k. it doesnt seem to be as full as the first so its not as big and fluffy, but its still pretty big, and my kids still like it. There is a chemical type smell when you first get it not that bad, (i have 2 and i dealt with it) the smell does start to fade, i bought febreze fabric spray and its fine. So anyway the chairs are definately worth the money, and my husband is 6'4 and he fits just fine in it, so they are big. Overall i really like it, i guess its a 50-50 chance whether you get an extremely full one or not so full, but either way they are worth the money.

Exactly What I Wanted - An Extremely Large and Comfortable Foam/Bean Bag Chair
Despite what a few negative reviewers here said, I went ahead and purchased the "Comfort Research Large Fuf Bean Bag Chair" and boy, I couldn't be happier. Once the funny looking and medium sized box arrived at my door, I unwrapped it to find an extremely compressed block that instantly started to expand once I unwrapped the plastic.
The foam material inside seemed to be a large cube that I had to literally punch and claw at until it fully broke apart. Once there were many clumps of the foam, I had to kick it around a bit until the bag started to "fuf" up. I sat in it and felt pretty comfortable, but it seemed a little flat. I left it for the rest of the day and finally went to bed.
The next morning there was a HUGE black blob in my room and I could tell that the air got to the foam pieces inside. The chair was now as tall as my couch and I didn't hesitate to fall into it. It felt like I was laying on a cloud that formed to my full body (5' 7"). You will get engulfed in this thing and not want to get up. I took a small nap in it later that day and felt great afterward.
I'm laying on it right now typing this review on my iPad. I'm extremely comfortable and it's been perfect for being lazy/sleeping, playing video games, or watching movies/tv. There was a minor factory smell to it the first day but it's practically gone by hour 48 of owning this chair. It has to be "re-fufed" once in a while by kicking the sides or turning it over but the material poofs back up and becomes more comfortable than ever.
There's no noise that I hear when moving around and this is one of the most comfortable things I've ever relaxed in. I'm extremely pleased with this purchase and look forward to relaxing in it after a long day's work. Highly recommended, especially for the price.
