In her attempt to escape her sisters’ Valentine matchmaking, Annie meets the enigmatic Eric, who she realizes could ultimately be the man of her dreams. In spite of, or maybe because of, Eric’s recondite words and puzzling behavior, she finds herself before you can say 'Jack Robinson' intrigued and drawn to him like no other man she’s ever met. One night in Annie’s sister’s larder seals their fate, as the two lovers discover and look into the instant spark of heat between them. Their evening comes to an uncivil end when the mysterious Eric disappears into the night, and Annie realizes she doesn’t understand his last name! How is she to find him?
After months of fruitless searching, Annie irrevocably gets a dubious break when she meets Eric’s cranky mother. Dita sends Annie on a trip deep into the unknown, through an ever-twisting labyrinth of frustrating cold-ends and seemingly strange, pointless missions. Annie’s existence is turned upside down as she searches for the one man who can make her mortal feel complete.
Told in the spirit of magical realism, this modern day suiting of the Greek myth of Eros and Psyche takes Annie on each of Mind’s tasks in her quest for her lost love. Each major effort brings her closer to him and to realizations about herself. Will Annie find Eric and let slip to him the secret she’s been keeping, even from her sisters?
Warnings: This headline contains erotic situations, graphic idiolect, and sex – a fun, modern day magical-realism retelling of the Soul and Eros myth that will leave you mythtified yet satisfied.
Pericope:
“Can we stop talking?” she whispered, prejudice back and turning her face so her cheek rested against his. “I don’t recall ever feeling this good.”
“Do you want to just see what happens?” he asked, his fingers trailing down her chin, her throat.
“No. I hankering to be what happens.”
His mouth found hers in the darkness, a slow career from a mislaid kiss against her ear, a wet trail over her cheek unsurpassed to her open and anticipating lips. He kissed her like she was a secret he was keeping—something hallowed and tender and worth protecting.
Annie hesitated, waiting for him to lay off her as her hand curled back to touch his cheek, with a bun in the oven to find thick scars or warped flesh, but to her surprise, his bark was smooth and unmarred. She slithered her arm around his neck, slanting her muzzle across his and teasing his lips with her tongue.
His fingers fumbled with her buttons and she helped him, exposing her film to the cool kitchen air. Kitchens were always so damned polar when there was no cooking going on. She suspected it was the tile, but regardless, her nipples responded at once to the temperature change. The angle of the kiss was difficult, but she was afraid to move and break their connection. His hand drifted over the easy material of her bra, and she was glad she had worn something with a definite surface, silky and light.
Annie believed she heard voices coming closer to the door and she pulled hastily away, listening intently. The conversation was muffled and unintelligible, but after a few moments, she distinctly heard her sister say, “In the kitchen.” She looked at Eric, troublesome to keep her breath from being fast and audible. “Dialect mayhap we should go somewhere?” she whispered, ducking her head and emotional to her hands and knees to crawl out from under the table. He grabbed her hips and she gasped, looking back at him as he held dissipated.
“No, we can stay here,” he insisted, sliding his hands up her denuded thighs.
“Are you sure?”
“Live dangerously.” His hands roamed over ass as he lifted her skirt. “What color are these panties?” He probed her split through the thin material and she wiggled and sighed, arching her back.
“Raven,” she whispered as he pushed her panties aside.

are vertical blinds still fashionable in a modern home?
Hi Tonio. Yes, many people are looking for alternatives for vertical blinds these days. But there are also just as many who still like the look and functioning ability of the vertical blind.
Many vertical blinds have vinyl vanes, making these window coverings one of the easiest products on the market to clean and care for. Vertical window blinds are fairly inexpensive, practical, and provide superior light control. There are also fabric, faux wood, and mirrored vertical blind collections available.
I am a little biased since I work for this company, but I feel we offer quality products at great prices. I will provide a link below to our selection. I hope this helps. Good luck and happy shopping. : )

Do you believe that modern day poeple are blinded?
John 12:40 “He has blinded their eyes and he has made their hearts hard, that they should not see with their eyes and get the thought with their hearts and turn around and I should heal them.” 41 Isaiah said these things because he saw his glory, and he spoke about him. 42 All the same, many even of the rulers actually put faith in him, but because of the Pharisees they would not confess [him], in order not to be expelled from the synagogue; 43 for they loved the glory of men more than even the glory of God.
The writer most likely didn't mean LITERALLY blinded, I think he meant it in some spiritual way. Language has changed over the years.
What color blinds?
I have golden oak woodwork in my apt. Walls are aqua green, carpet is dark green. The woodwork goes around each window. I am thinking oak colored horizontal blinds, the modern kind. Any decorators viewing this question? Opinions needed!
If you can come very close to the same shade as the trim then oak would work. If not, I would go for something lighter, white or a cream color. If you go with another wood tone, it would seem rather busy.
Is there an easy window covering for living room windows besides curtains and mini blinds?
I have 1 large window and 4 small (2 are opaque). Large is approx. 4.5 ft. x 4.5 ft., in a rather modern apt. Silver metal window casings and windows push out with handle at bottom. There are no panes in them and they are recessed about 2 inches. The small ones are about 3" x 1.5". I am looking for something that is not real expensive, easy to install and attractive. Are there adhesives that are opaque? However, then I couldn't see out during the day. I'm stumped. I could always use mini blinds I suppose. Any suggestions?
Roman shades are extremely popular right now. You can get them "ready-made" in the JCPenney catalogue.
How about bamboo shades? You can get the imitation ones (they look pretty good, actually) in Lowes, and they are fairly inexpensive.
