Rivets ask for a setting tool for installation. Riveted joints are determined, tight, and extremely reliable. How to install a ruse rivet. if it's just dust use a swiffer duster
if its cleaning cleaning spray a cloth with cleaner (windex should be fine) and wipe but its a long process if you have a lot of them

My room faces East and the sun is blinding in the morning and the room looks bad when I tried curtains. I have white vinyl blinds up and the light is soo bright , would metal/aluminum blinds in white make a difference? I dont want to call a blind company as they will not give info without getting you name # etc then bugging me constantly to use their service. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Buy the metal but be sure they state "room darkening" on the package. We have always had them and they live up to their claim. We are temporarily in an apartment until our new home is done and they use vinyl. They do not close properly, sag, and do not block the light. So spend a little more and get some sleep.

Either the swiffer dusters like said before or use a can of air. Just zip it over the blinds and it's gone. Granted it's then on the surfaces around it, but usually easier to clean.

Looking for a quick and easy way to clean metal venetion blinds. can you help?

I have hung them outside, used soapy hose water; put them in the bathtub (that was a mess); cleaned each slat, one at a time (cut my hands doing that); hung them over the fence outside and tried to clean them that way. Nothing has worked so far. Thanks.

There is a spray you can buy at the pet store, called Bitter Yuck or Bitter Apple...something like that. You spray it on the surface that you don't want your cats to bite, and when they taste the spray, they stop chewing. I've had a taste of the stuff accidentally and it is nasty....it's not bad for the kitty though; check the ingredients---rosemary is the main ingredient in the one I use.
