Use the hand held fabric cleaner attatchment from a rug steamer you rent at the store. Works great!

What is an easy way to clean blinds?
Mine next to the table get food splatter and dried dust. I tried to clean them with a paper towel and cleaner and ended up tearing the blinds.
I remove mine, (easy to do), fill my bathtub with water and add Chlorox. I wait about thirty minutes and the blinds come out spotless. Just make sure you lay them on something to dry first before rehanging them or the Chlorox can cause spots on the carpet. It is much easier to remove them rather than trying to clean them by hand.

The contractor told me not to take them apart but clean the blinds as is. I have this one device which goes in between the blinds to dust but the dust is still on there. This blind cleaner needs to be sent back to China. I would appreciate some good suggestions. I have just thought that maybe I need to take a damp sponge and clean each one individually. Close them all the way, then dust with a soft cloth that is slightly damp. Then close them all the way in the opposite
direction to clean the other side.
