POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!
The customer service at this company is very poor. We call with a question and spoke with Jackie and Mary and both were very condesending and rude. They kept interrupting us and wouldn't let us talk. We looked up the company with the better business bureau and found they had a F rating with 4 complaints in the past year with 2 unresolved!!

Great Bed
We just got this bed and it is great. It does have a smell but that is expected from the finish and is fading. The wood is soft so my husband used a small wood block to hammer on. Definatly need an electric screwdriver....It took him a couple of hours to assemble but he said it was user friendly. The trundle is great as it rolls out and is not attached so can go whereever.The bedd is really nice. Note: It is pretty tall. I gave it four stars because it did have a few very small flaws. Nothing worth returning just not 5 star.

Well worth it.....
I ordered 2 of these beds. With the free shipping these beds are worth the price. After shopping around and not finding what I wanted, I sayed I will give it a try. Being a first time shopper of Amazon I kept my fingers crossed and hoped for the best. I loved these beds and they are exactly what I was looking for in style, color and price. I got the beds and of course the 1st bed took longer to put together, then the 2nd one did. These beds are great!! Very steardy, easy to use, and worth every penny.

Bed is great for us
I brought this bed for my 3 year old son. He was so excited about getting his first big boy bed and already planning for her older sister to sleep over on the trundle. The bed arrived and we set about putting it togther......it took a little longer than I hoped because of my 3 year old helper :-). When we opened the box it did have a little smell but no more than any other new funiture I have brought. By the time my son went to bed that night it was completely set up and there was no smell at all.

We have been very happy with this bed and are so glad we brought it.

Major Offgassing Problems; Suspect Wood & Finish Quality
Well, the bed arrived when promised, and the design was what we hoped for. Thats the extent of the good news. The first bit of bad news is that this bed is made of the softest wood I've ever seen -- even the slightest bump would leave a large dent (e.g. dropping a small screwdriver during assembly from a height of less than 2 feet). Great for a kids room, right? Worse, the bed has serious offgassing problems. After weeks (yes, weeks) of trying to get the odor to go away (leaving the window open, then having a fan on it, then having a dehumidifier in the room with the window closed), the harsh (and likely toxic) smell of the wood/finish continued to dominate the room. So we finally gave up and deconstructed the bed. And when we contacted the seller about the problem? They only accept returns within 3 days of shipment, and only if the item hasn't been assembled. Yeah. Thus, you're left to guess when you open the box: are all the parts are included? are there structural problems? will the smell go away? Don't repeat our mistake in buying this.

Missing box, damaged product
Only one of two boxes arrived. The customer service number (for Prepac Manufacturing) on the instructions in the one box we did get was no longer working. The parts we did receive were very scratched up and in poor condition. I ended up contacting Amazon to return the item (try repacking all the parts in a very large, heavy, damaged box...). Definitely do not recommend.

difficult
This item arrived with parts missing. Contacted manufacturer (Prepac) and was told that I would have to pay extra for missing parts. Refused and finally they agreed to send the parts. Took two weeks! Bed was difficult to assemble. Final product nice, but wouldn't have purchased had I known the difficulty I would have.

Nice-looking sturdy bed; great customer service
We bought this bed for a "young teen" makeover of our daughter's room. She wanted a loft, but the sloping ceilings in her room prevented that. This bed is perfect because it's quite high because of the trundle/drawers underneath. We made it even higher because we decided to use the bunky board from her previous bed too, so it's now about half-way between a regular bed and a loft.

The bed arrived in three large boxes. One corner of one box was really banged up, so we were expecting the worst. We were amazed to find out that all the boxes are double-boxed, so the inside box was unscathed. That's a lot of extra care the company took to prevent damage. There were some dings here and there on the pieces, the most prominent one being the corner of one of the drawers. I weighed the option of delaying the assembly and dealing with exchanging the pieces for undamaged pieces, but decided to not deal with that hassle and proceed knowing that it wouldn't be perfect. As a family and a household full of dogs/cats, we've learned not be too concerned about scratches/dents in our furniture, but a buyer that is pickier may want to consider a different bed. This bed is solid pine, which is a soft wood. We like the color variations and markings that give it character, but it does dent/scratch quite easily.

Assembly was a non-event thankfully, and I put it together by myself mostly in one long evening. I say mostly because it is much easier if you have help with supporting one end of the bed while you tighten the bolts at the other end, but that was all of 30 seconds. The instructions are clear and logical if you are used to IKEA-type furniture kits - there are no words, just diagrams. One of the drawer side pieces did not have the holes pre-drilled, but there were others to use as a template. Put together, the moving pieces all operate smoothly and the drawers are all square.

I believe the description says the trundle takes a mattress up to 8". That is what we got, and there is absolutely no more room than that, other than a sheet. We even have to remove the blanket before stowing the trundle.

It is a sturdy, very nice looking bed. The price was great, plus shipping was no extra charge. I'd also like to say the customer service was extraordinary. I accidentally left my work address on the order as the shipping address and didn't realize it until Amazon emailed the shipping confirmation, which I didn't open until late in the afternoon. In a panic, I called the vendor to find out how big the boxes were and whether they would fit in my car. The rep asked me what car I had, thought about it for a moment, and then OFFERED to change the shipping address. I thought they had already left the building, but he said they probably were still on the loading dock. After verifying they were, he said he'll just slap new shipping labels on them. Problem solved. They arrived at my house via UPS within a few days afterwards. I would buy again from this company in a heartbeat.

Back in the day, I'd obscure anything I didn't like under my bed: orange-flavored Flintstone vitamins, homework returned with too much red ink, befouled laundry ... the muster goes on.

I've grown up since then. But having honourable moved to a new stamping-ground, I find myself eyeing the scope once again: It's the only part of the floor that isn't covered with boxes and clothes.

Some designs assertive particularly adequate use of this too-often wasted room. One example is Blu Dot's Modulicious bed (bluedot.com), which turned 10 this year. Along its sides are six drawers, their active ingredients-coated bear up facades nearby in seven out of the ordinary colors, including slate, ivory and robin's egg indecent. ok, well target sells a set of 4 bed risers for $15, you set your bed on them, they make your bed 6 inches higher, and then you can buy underbed boxes to stores clothes and stuff in.
Otherwise check the newspaper classifieds for used waterbed with drawers, and put your mattress on it.
