Overall a great piece!
Assembly was easy. The base is nice and wide. This really makes it easy to get into my way too high bed! The quality of the wood and the overall construction of the piece is very good. The price was reasonable. I love the little hidden drawer.

missing parts
part of the hardware that connected the steps together (there were four pieces) were missing. We were able to find them at the hardware store but I would not trust this company again with a product. Packageing everything up to return and then wait for a replacement was not in the timeframe we needed.

Bed steps
These steps are just what you want if your bed is too high! Good quality, easy to assemble. The 'distressed' finish, however, looks like a few hammer blows to the surface before it was packaged up. The bottom line is that I haven't found anything better for the price.

Dangerous
I bought this after purchasing a new pillow-top mattress that is very high off the floor. It's a really pretty piece but the finish was so slippery that it felt dangerous to be stepping on that high. I am a 68 year old female so it might be okay just for looks or for someone younger.

step stool
The stool was not properly made because no screw hole was drilled on one end. When I put the screw in, the side wall cracked. I put this review out previously, then was contacted by the manufacturer and asked to remove it and they would send me new parts to fix the problem. I did remove the comments, but never received the replacement parts. I can still use the stool, but it is not top notch.

Expensive for what you get
Needs a lot of assembly, it's solid, heavy and sturdy, but I really do not like how it looks now that I have it. For $121 I think you can buy better alternatives, the storage space is a joke, the box is narrow and tall, so I don't know what you can really store there. Slippery surface.

Bed Step review
HI, This is a very Nice sturdy Bed Step .. looks more expensive then it is and the extra storage has been used also more then I expected .. Very Nice Extra .. My ONLY suggestions is that it is a bit slippery so put a NON skid pad on the steps .. Most of them do not have this and you have to add it yourself.. Still I gave it a 5 star rating and would recommend it!

Bed Steps
We have a very high bed and there was an illness andI was worried with surgery we couldn't make it on the bed. Well, while it was the right intent it was very slippery and without special socks we could have had a serious problem and it really turned int to much work for middle of night bathroom breaks! But idea was just what I wanted.

High hopes a little dashed
When I opened it I loved it -! I was thrilled because I had originally seen it for more money on line & this price was at least $40 less. It was packed excellently, it was heavy which exuded quality-not flimsy at all, but the finish on the bottom step could have been better & there is a corner not finished -wood showing.

library steps
This is the second time I am submitting this review. When the steps were received, they were missing a hinge for the step "drawer". There is a mar on the bottom step. I was very disappointed in the piece I received. Surely there must be a quality control that looks at a piece before it is shipped. These two problems were so obvious, we noticed them the second we unpacked it.
