Great bed frame for the price
This item was shipped quickly and was packaged well. I thought it was going to be in a big bulky box that I would have to drag across my apartment's building, something I was dreading since I am a petite girl, but I was able to carry it easily. Also, it was very easy to set up and has held up so far.

Flawed but functional
First thing wrong with it is the support legs at head-center and foot-center. The legs are made of two pieces, the leg itself and a sort of cap with a threaded hole that receives a bolt. The two pieces are not attached, they are just stuck together. The result is that if you first put the leg in the wrong hole, like I did, and then try to unscrew it from the bolt, the leg will just come right off the cap. The cap is still attached to the bolt. So I can just unscrew the cap from the bolt, right? Wrong. The bolt has a smooth, flat, round head--no using a wrench or screwdriver on this thing, it's fingers only. The end result is that I just left that leg off since, being in the wrong spot, it would get in the way of the boxes I want to store under the bed. The bed is still supported by six legs, which is plenty.

My recommendation to fix the above problem is to 1) take the cap off and use a super-strong glue to attach it to the leg, and 2) use a screw with a large, flat head instead of the included bolts.

Second thing wrong with it is it's apparently not made to very exacting specifications because my boxspring is about 3/4 inch narrower than the frame. It's just not flush against both edges. Oh well, it still works. It's a good quality metal with a good finish and doesn't seem particularly heavy. It's just disappointing to see simple little things wrong with it.

Only if you have a box or sth
I received this bed frame as a gift a couple of days ago. It is surprisingly easy to assemble, even if you are only 5ft ><.

But, without a box, it is just not enough for a queen size bed. First, it is not long enough, part of my mattress sticks out without support and falls naturally due to the weight. Secondly, part of the mattress sinks when I am lying on the bed, due to the design. I wake the second morning, found the whole mattress in a slightly wave-shape. I do not think this is good for a mattress. But I guess some wooden slates will fix this problem, and those do not cost much.

BROKE ON FIRST USE!!!
The very first time I used it, it bent in half on two of the bars. I weigh 200lbs, but I just don't really think that should be enough to break a bed by laying on it :-) JUNKER! DO NOT BUY! At least Amazon gave me a refund.

The best frame available
I bought this frame for a set of x-long twin beds and I liked the roller feature for moving the beds for cleaning. Some day we may put these together as a king bed and I wanted a good quality. They are very heavy and sturdy as expected. My only problem was that the boxes were flimsy and looked like they had been damaged and taped. One set was missing two rollers and I had to put the frame on bricks since the mattresses were due to be delivered. The seller put the rollers in US Mail instead of a faster service and we had to wait a week. I think for the price they could have given us better service.

Perfect for my girls!
I ordered two of these bed frames to use in my daughters' bedroom. I love that they are adjustable because right now they are both in twin beds, but we might switch them to full sized beds when they get bigger. The frames arrived quickly (free shipping too!) and it was really easy for me to put them together (without my husband, even!)

My favorite thing about these frames is how mobile they are with the rollers on the bottom. We usually have the beds apart on opposite sides of the bedroom, but sometimes we push them together for "sleepovers". They are sturdy enough that I don't even worry about them jumping on their beds!

I would definitely buy these frames from this seller again!

Adequate
It does the job. However, the two plastic center posts on the ends are rather flimsy. Both have broken on mine (bent sideways). But since I use this as a twin bed unit, it doesn't matter. The extra support isn't needed in my case. Overall the unit is a somewhat less "heavy duty" than I expected, but it does the job.

Easy to Assemble, Sturdy, Adjustable Bed Frame
It was nice to find a bed frame like this available online with free shipping because it was so much more convenient to order than to go pick up from the store myself. It shipped quickly and arrived in great condition.

The assembly went very fast because of the easy to understand instructions. The bed frame is sturdy and strong. The frame was good purchase since the size can be adjusted to fit larger mattresses.

I never realized how convenient the rollers on the bottom would be. My wife says it is really easy to make my son's bed because she can roll the bed a little bit away from the wall to tuck in the sheet and quilt. And when toys get dropped behind his bed, it is easy to get to them.

Nice Frame once I had a complete one.
I had no issues with the frame itself. Solid construction. Easy to put together, even without instructions... Although I would say if you are not mechanically inclined you should use the instructions. Storage is phenomenal under it.

As for the useability, I put a piece of cheap fiber board (thin) on it, a skirt then a cheap air mattress (our camping mattress) and it sleeps better than expensive models. I particularly like that there is a center rail down the middle (even on a double size) and that the slats are attached at the outer rails and the center rail. The slightly bowed upward slats an advantage in that there is far less chance of them warping downward AND they provide the maximum support in the locations that people would actually sleep.

My only issue was when I got the first one the only things in the box were the outer rails and half the slats. Called and they promptly sent a new one which was complete. The quality of their packaging seems to be a bit of an issue since they neither glue the box closed or staple it. They use a small amount of packaging tape in two places which is not sufficient.

amazing bed
The bed is AMAZING! So cheap, so comfortable, took one hour to assemble with a friend, we used a hammer because we lacked a mallet. It is unobtrusive, comfortable- sometimes I think I can notice the middle support bar in the bed but may imagine this and it doesnt change how comfortable I am. Warning: don't try to carry the package yourself- I missed fedex delivery, went to pick it up at the fedex store and carry it home, and this proved almost impossible.

Excellent heavy-duty, functional bed frame
It's a touch cheaper than Ikea and quite solid. You can safely ignore the people who talk of spending hours and lots of effort putting this together. Two people, half an hour, no mallet, just push them into place with the palm of the hand. The allen key required is supplied in the package, takes little time and effort to assemble, though two people are a help for sure.

The box it arrived in (take a look at the size and weight, it's a big box) was badly beaten up, but everything looked fine when I unwrapped it other than one scratch on an inside (not showing) part. The packaging is not very good, and I imagine that there are many returns as a result of shipping damage.

It's nice and solid. Should work out fine as a bed frame to get away from those hideous box springs.

Are there any bed frames that support both a mattress as well as a mattress box?

I heard that using a mattress without the box can really ruin the springs in the long run. I would really like to keep my mattress as long as possible but I also want a bed frame (a brown wooden one is preferred) that will fit both. Is there such thing as a bed frame that holds both? Is there also a day bed that will hold both? Or is my best bet would be just a headboard?

The box spring is rigid and raises the heigth of the bed. It is about one third of the price of a matress/box set. If you want a low mattress then forget the box and use 1 inch plywood cut to fit on the slats or on the frame to support the mattress.

Latex matresses are very good and there are no springs to sag--also good if you have allergies.

If you buy a set, the store will tell you to buy a matching set to protect the warranty. Few people use or need a warranty. So a mixed set is fine and much cheaper. But they also want to sell the set so they aren't stuck with the box. Buy a close out sale mattress for a good price.

What type of bed frame does not require a box spring, slats, steel frames, etc. All you need is a mattress??

My bed is one of those new matteresses that has the extra foam on top and I love the low bed frame look but my mattress would still tower, and defeat the point of getting a low bed frame. I also can't even find a comforter or sheets that fully cover my mattress.

For your frame, I would suggest checking with a local mattress store to see if they carry low profile frames. As far as sheets and comforters go, most should now fit on your bed. Depending on how deep your mattress is, I would suggest something like one of the ones below:
